Edited by: Sachun on 07/07/2010 10:43:42 Edited by: Sachun on 07/07/2010 10:31:29 An event, supported by at least one CCP employee, with clear supremacist (as in "O there is a group that is worth nothing and can be hit on without a second thought because WE are better") tendencies, geared at the destruction of hours of work of other people for the remote chance to get a "price".
Maybe some of the participants should consider how it would be if you showed up to work and someone deleted the harddrive of your computer, because "there was a nice mug to be won".
The whole thing seems sick to me but there will always be people who will stoop to ever greater lows to get a kick I guess.
Deleted a part concerning: CCP support of this event. This is not true as found in an earlier post by CCP. I am quite happy about that and appologise for my asumption.
2nd Edit deleted some words that seem to have upset the OP greatly. I just want to stress that I dont like the implication moral and ethical in this event, but in the end it is "just a game" an your milage may vary. |

Edited by: Sachun on 07/07/2010 10:20:28 Edited by: Sachun on 07/07/2010 10:19:52 Edited by: Sachun on 07/07/2010 10:12:36 As you might have noted I spoke of "tendencies" which in addition I explained in the following sentence.
But let me ask you a question. How would you describe someone who will hunt and repress a group of people that has done nothing as to (in our case) sit in the wrong ship (you could easily supply "have the wrong sort of nose, color, religion"). Now add that some of these people seem to think they are "better" then those "ganked" by them. Please feel free to supply the words you find for this behaviour for the words I used.
I am well aware that this is a game but I guess morale and ethics have a certain place in anything humans do. I am a bit appalled on these goings on, but life will go on in Eve. It is just what I think and if I have used inappropriate language to describe those thoughts I will gladly appologise.
Just a quick edit I found a post from CCP making clear that this event is not as such supported by CCP. In account to that I will retract my prev. statement concerning CCP. |

Edited by: Sachun on 07/07/2010 10:52:18 Acutally I get the impression you did not read my post. :) Since you are getting personal(I guess calling me a "maggot" is personal) and seem a bit upset, I will cease this conversation. I will also edit my perverious post so the "offensive words" will no longer be an issue. May be I can invite you to think about why you are so upset atm.
To the previous poster: I already corrected my comment about CCP and appologize for my error.
I in addition call nobody filth and am NOT trying to suppress anybody. You can go on with any playstile you want of course.
I used the word "legal" in the meaning off "no EULA violation". With this I thought I made clear that Hulkageddon is absolutely in the scope of the game.
Whßt I wanted to do is to express my disklike of the concept and the reasons I do so. I already stated that I appologise for any "unapropriate" language I used. But this does not change my oppinion on the subject.
For the spelling, sorry I am not a natural english speaker. :) |

Edited by: Sachun on 07/07/2010 11:12:44 I fell compelled to write one more post. I am NOT comparing a game with the sufferings of real life. you are right here we have pixel explosions there people are suffering. What I meant to do was to:
1. State my opinion that, grieving someone because he is what he is is not acceptable for ME even in a game. That means to ME ganking is not an viable pasttime.
2. That to ME doing as stated above is sign of a mindset that I personally am unconfortable with. So I am sure I will never play with anyone who participates in such an event. But hey... you dont have to play that game with me either. There are lots of people who see this different.
I am sorry I used the wrong expressions to state this and appologise to all people offended. |

I am not above appologising when I made an error. :) And thanks for the mention of the "" issue. I did not want to be taken to be sarcastic. So just put everything I put in "" into italic. :) |
