Wikipedia is where a lot of people go to understand new information, and it is contents are free source from public. So when someone see one of those ads online about EVE Online, they will type in google and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eveonline this page is one of the first result to pop up.
From the Wikipedia's eve-online page, you can see the content is very bland and official and it is obviously who provided the contents.
However since Wikipedia is suppose to be open source and for the public, I think its is only fair we should edit that page to show the people both the good and bad about eve online. Right now good has already been displayed, spaceship.. sandbox.. human interaction etc... what about the criticism section? What about the white elephant in the room, the massive lag problem.. the interface problem.. etc... I think able to be fair and balanced, the criticism section need to be added.

It's Wikipedia. If you feel that strongly about it, go fix it yourself.

I haven't seen the massive lag monster in years. Perhaps you should stop playing on a 386i machine.

It's usually because fans gush about their favorite game. That and it's wikipedia we're talking about here: editor circlejerks, deletionist policies and not-notables. Looking at the page there seems to be quite a bit of information. Multiple articles even. There could be worse pages.

Wikipedia is full of editors who think they are PhD scholars in all of human knowledge while infact they are a bunch of bald basement dwellers with twinkies shoved up their ********s.

the thing is... everyone is too lazy to go and post what they know in the page. and if they are not lazy they simply dont know.
I think it needs more interest from the scholars side, as well as the nerd side for the sci-fi and pop culture stuff. I still think wikipedia is great. and i hope it lives long enough to become the true source of all human knowledge in the future... or maybe that would be a mistake...
(100 years from now) Child: ooh, EVE online, some MMO in the 21st century about space pilots who would transport Jedi in their one-eyed-dragon styled spaceships. Developed by Sony and Square Enix. Interesting...

one would think they have no spare hands between fapping and clicking on thier billion isk internet spaceships. There's 1, repeat 1, frigate in the T1 lineup designed to be a suicide tackler. the rest are for COMBAT. so don't tell me to tackle when I'm in a combat T1 frig. OR tell CCP to fix their mess. |

Probably because your viewpoint was seen as biased or the content violated one of the Wikipedia rules. Check the talk page and see if anyone noted why it was reversed. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

This number is grossly overestimated. In their own letter, listed as one of the references to this statement, they claim to have only 220,000 active subscriptions. ùPreceding unsigned comment added by Darktangent (talk ò contribs) 22:58, 24 May 2010 (UTC) Who is the idiot adding extra zeros into the demographics numbers? The peak active accounts signed in is listed as 560,021, when the TITLE of the reference listed says 56,021. The number of active subscriptions is listed as 13,000,000, when the references cited all say 220,000. ùPreceding unsigned comment added by Darktangent (talk ò contribs) 23:11, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

Regardless of those comments, the peak numbers and active subscribers are accurate. (300k accounts, 60k peak) _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

whenever I want to find out about something encyclopedia dramatica is my choice of encyclopedia over wiki, it describes eve perfectly
Quote: EVE Online is an extremely slow and boring MMORPG that hardly anyone plays, made by the greasy foreigners at Crowd Control Productions, or CCP. Many consider the game to be an interactive screensaver at times. The crowd that plays the game is made up of jews. One of the only reasons why people actually try this game out is because of the awesome graphics. According to the makers of the game, the players have a lot of freedom of what they choose to do in the game. This freedom that they speak of is mining ore in order to make Jew gold or grief other players to make their lives living hells. There is no point to this game except to waste your worthless life away and make yourself a pariah to the outside world.

I like this one. It's just two giant paragraphs of ranting with a tl;dr in the middle.
