While monitoring the various data streams associated with Hulkageddon, I started to notice a wonderful little trend.
A large volume of traffic was coming from the forums of a most interesting site... namely this one.
This is the enemy of all EVE players.
While I am cognizant that our little romps thusfar have not been of a sufficient magnitude to really impact the economy, I think it's worth noting what we are up against here.
Fully-automated, game ruining, cheating, buttmonkeys.
At this juncture, I feel it is appropriate to call on all the people that don't normally PVP, or are honest miners.
Train an alt to fly catalysts with T1 blasters! Apply the alt to the Hulkageddon Orphanage!
Let's take down as many of these cheaters as we can. And win awesome prizes while doing it (6b cash and 2 capital ship and counting)
More details as they develop will be posted on the official site.

Fly safe. Don't macro.

Hey i got a good idea, why not try promoting your event by spreading links to eve bots. Oh wait, nvm, see you already thought of that.

that would sort of undermine the point I'm making... wouldn't it?
I'm pretty surprised things like this can exist, im no lawyer but I would suspect that the sale of tools specifically designed to break the EULA and TOS of an online game would be something you could take legal action against.
edit: I just reported my own post, so if the mods feel it's inappropriate/dangerous, they can remove the link at their discretion.

As if every botter wannabe can't google it -.-
But I'm all in favour of bot killing. Just after the patch there was a 90% decrease of miners in my usual system, well that tells me enough. Too bad it's so hard in EVE to kill or report bots and get them out or banned.
And I also find it VERY SAD that CCP obviously doesn't really mind. Once AGAIN a game where botting is "permitted" a.k.a. tolerated and thus breaking the rules a.k.a. cheating is rewarded. There's far too many threads proving this. And the link in the OP proves it's not just someone's imagination.
Botting is a disease! And I'm afraid more people than I want to know are infected.

Quite shocking to see what a professional enterprise they made of it.
I read some threads on their forums and those that posted about being caught for macro mining are crying over getting a 14 day ban (!). How about handing out some permabans to macroers, CCP? Or banning them for a few months at least? You only stimulate them to perfect their algorithms and tricks by giving them a second chance this way, I think.
Also I wonder if legal steps would be possible to take down such an alluring front-end and what efforts CCP undertakes in this department. Help us to make parrots game related today! |

Yeah, maybe replace the link with a screenshot Hel and edit out url's. That won't stop inquisitive people but it limits their traffic and exposure at least. Help us to make parrots game related today! |

To kick it off, why don't you head on over to B****lille in Sinq Laison and hit the 128 or so odd Mackinaws that are at the Ice belt 23/7?

You bloody gave them free advertisement! You hate them so much? You don't like them? Then you do not mention them and get them the only way you can. You gank them over and over again.
Too bad people cannot see the difference between a macro and a non macro player. But then again, thats where it's all about, no?

Apparently one of the people responsible for one of the other mining macro's is actually heading to Iceland for court proceedings at this time.

I look forward to the increase in value it brings to my production lines! Keep it up! Maybe I'll join sometime with one of my alts.
FYI... why the shock at the whole macro thing? Welcome to reality. It's been going on since Lineage hit it big in S. Korea over 10 years ago. (Also, those macro'ers are rarely from China.)

This is very interesting - where did you hear about this? Can you provide some details?
Also, there have been calls for miners to strike and not mine for the duration of Hulkageddon (again). I support this - especially if they get a suicide gank alt trained up. Imagine if no players were mining... That would leave only the macros.
