Edited by: Skogul on 14/12/2004 21:20:13 Don't touch that dial, this just in, I'm not a diplomat but I play one on TV!
The majority of the Fade Union corporations have left the Union, for their own various reasons. A small core of corporations has expressed interest in continuing the alliance, however (quite obviously) different management will be necessary. To that effect, The Tarsis Shriners [FEZ] have assumed stewardship of the Fade Union for the interim period. We are currently beginning to form a negotiations team to attempt to resolve our outstanding conflicts amicably. It should be noted that those initiating and interested in the previous conflicts have left the building as it were - and we hope to negotiate in good faith with all of our enemies for peaceful solutions.
Corporations interested in maintaining status within the Fade Union at this time or in the future should contact Skogul (CEO of the Tarsis Shriners [FEZ]) or indicate your support here.
Additionally, please note: No other press release information is to be construed as accurately representing the course of action for the alliance as it stands or shall stand in the future.
EDIT: Based on the general response of those involved that the Alliance system serves merely as a way for corporations to cheaply declare war on lots of folks, and that the majority of FU corps are interested in disbanding, AND that we ([FEZ]) aren't terribly interested in parading around as the sole corp in FU, I've decided to can this effort. The FU, which has been more or less physically dissolved for the past week or so, will in effect be permanently dissolved as soon as I am able to delete it from the CONCORD records. Thanks to all who were involved, however brief it may have been, and especially to those who were interested in accomplishing something different from the typical alliance. We wish everyone the best of luck in their future efforts.

The semi-official Death Row respounce is this:
We are now in control of fade along with BoB, Nemesis and Krom, now please leave. There will be no negotiation from DIE, and I can pretty easily assure u that Nemesis and Krom wont agree to any cease fire, as well as BoB.

I would agree - however it wasn't entirely unexpected. Unfortunately these things are very difficult to manage without a proper structure in place binding everyone together (in friendship and loyalty), and compounding that with being outnumbered and outgunned ... well it wasn't a pretty picture, and it's hard to blame those who jumped ship early. Likewise, it's hard to blame those who've left late, including those interested in seeing something work out, as there isn't much of a Fade Union without Fade, and when 3 different entities (NSA/BoB/the assorted DIE-KR0M pirates) are daily overrunning things, it's hard to convince 5 total corps that something actually can be accomplished. In any event, it was a fun experiment, if nothing else, and I certainly learned who I don't want to have making decisions for me. ;)
In any event, we're back to going it alone for now, and will see where the future takes us.

Thing is its a billion isk right there in that alliance name. I can see why she wants to keep it alive. I predict in the future we will see more alliances formed that don't have region names in the title.

Well I was personally still interested in hanging out with some of the folks, and the alliance chat is nice. However, the empire wars were not agreeable to most of the folks and they all bailed. In any event, a billion isk isn't all that difficult to come by. I believe you are correct - the next alliance FEZ is involved in will not be named for a region.

does this probably mean, that DIE, Nemesis and KROM will start a new alliance, supported by BoB militarywise? do you claim the territory official? _____________________________________ Dead or Alive

Not sure what benefit an alliance tag gives you...everything that it does for you can be better served by a TeamSpeak server. The rest are all disadvantages.
--------------- I guarantee that my opinions are the complete opposite of those of my corp and alliance. Get over it. |

Just out of curiosity, you say 'empire wars' here. Who was at war with FU apart from us? We were under the impression that we were alone. We certainly didnt see you fighting anyone else. Of course we may be mistaken, which is why I'm asking you. ----------------------------------------

Some other small corps ... I forget their names, but it was 2 of them, I'm not sure they were of any consequence or not (maybe just 3-man corps, you know the deal). I emailed CCP and asked them to delete the alliance this morning, so I imagine it's gone by now.
