Well it's like most things EVE-like. It's temporarily* implemented/nerfed then soon forgotten about. I would like to see this removed, but this is generally because I don't like being limited. I know it is in place to help protect the player base. But what would dropping it for a day or two really affect? That would be just to test things out. Like getting your feet wet again after almost drowning. How much time did it take to implement this? Seconds? Minutes? Hours? Pretty sure it was insignificant. From what I can tell people don't really mind it, but I just find it down right annoying. Why do you think CCP recently said (and have on several occasions, ignore the troll from earlier) it was a key part of how they dealt with them but it's under review? Why do you assume that their lack of presence is CCP catching them in another way with 100% success? If they remove it these forums will be full of spam in minutes, they are bots and never sleep or tire out. It would be nice to remove or reduce the 5 minutes but It does not bother me at all as I realise why it exists. Anyway this whole forum sucks (uses cookies for settings? That's crap and why I can only post on this character rather than my main) and the quicker they dumb it in the bin, with the UI, the better. Hopefully that will be soon and they will have more sophisticated tools to deal with spamming.
