A quick explanation of why CCP won't give you anything for downtime: 1)You were warned about it (and your an idiot if you thought it would be back up at 1500UTC on the dot) 2)Its in the ToS 3)Your skill training queue is still working through its schedule (which is a lot more than other game corps would do) 4)it cost about 0.51p or c per day. If your watching your budget THAT much, perhaps you shouldn't be subscribing to an online game in the first place.

@ Alloin - While i sympathise with you, you could have trained a single skill up to lvl5, nearly all lvl5 skills take at least a day to compleate, added ontop of the previous 4 lvl's it could easily have pushed it into the 48 hour mark. Just somthing to remember for next time :)

@ Ace - yeah my bad dude :P , but still I wasn't even expecting the site up on the deadline. There's a hell of a lot of unplugging and plugging back in to do with a setup like the eve servers.

try to understand about moving this stuff.
1-unplug all 2-move all 3-plug all 4-try to figure out which cord is not plug at the right place 5-Edit this post to tell people server is back online
It take time, YES They always tell server will be back at UTC X-hour, YES It's often reported, YES
But who know the work it represent to move those kind of server? Not much of us.
For anything else --> MasterCard XD
fly safe guys hummmm well when we will be able to go back IG :P
Try to understand COMPETENT server migration 1. set up new hardware and test connections BEFORE shutting old server down. 2.On migration day test new hardware to ascertain no connections are bad 3.perform migration. 4.Boot new cluster up and run diagnostics 5. open for connections and lastly 6.Profit???
thats a great plan, if your moving to new servers. but ccp aren't. They are MOVING the servers to a differant room. Once in said new room, they will upgrade PARTS of their set-up.

Servers are in London, not iceland. they are staying in the same building, just being moved to a bigger room with better aircon and more room for expansion.

There was an update on twitter 2 hours ago, it seems to be the most recent one:
"Servers are looking good so far in testing. Our pale, pod-goo-wrinkled fingers are crossed. Time still stands"
According to this the servers should be back up in half an hour hopefully. :)
