Its a lovely day, the servers are back up, we are getting SP to compensate us for spending a little time with our loved ones, we are getting a new ship to play with AND CCP has hinted that they are going to be doing away with learning skill.. Why all the rage?! Its a GREAT day to be a player. |

Rage likely due to large number of successful trolls pushing something that CCP has already verified will not happen. |

1) They are just about done coding a system for the distribution (or re-distribution) of a group of skill points. You don't code something like that if you don't intend to use it for something.
2) There is video of CCP devs stating that the learning skills were a bad idea from the start, and that they would get rid of them if they could figure out a way to do it fairly that wouldn't tick off the entire user base.
1+2 = Maybe they are getting rid of learning skills. |

If the lag monster is even partially reduced with the server move, that alone would be enough compensation imo. |

Its true they are going to get rid of the learning system and instead introduce a level system, the max level will be 70 and you have to kill 1million wild boars to increase each level.

You need to make sure that the newer players understand that is one million wild boars per level to gain the next level. To go from 69 to 70 will require 69,000,000 wild boars.
But it will not be too bad, CCP has guaranteed that a boar will spawn each day randomly somewhere in nullsec.
