Just because you cannot read and one needs to explain CCP's announcement to you does not mean you can now mouth off and have everyone explain everything to you. You still need to improve on your reading skill. --

Originally by: Estel Arador I disagree. Perhaps it wasn't perfect, but there were quite regular updates across different channels. Remember there was a time when CCP would go completely blank during downtimes, with the website returning a 404 (of course you don't remember, young as you are).
The server did go blank and stayed blank long after the announced return of the server if you have not noticed it.
And meanwhile there was information on the website, on twitter and on facebook. What I was saying is that there was a time when there would be no information at all from CCP during downtimes, not even a message "we're down for this-or-that-reason". (I've bolded the relevant parts in my message which show that I wasn't talking about (just) the server.)
Originally by: Whitehound I prefer professionalism over patch work plus gifts.
What I've been saying is that CCP's communication has been very professional. To counter that with a sentence starting "I prefer professionalism" is a bit strange.

It is just a game, but giving a gift after making a mistake is similar to giving a bribe. I can live with people making mistakes as long as they continue to improve by learning from it. I am not much of a fanboy who needs to be kept calm with gifts (not saying you are a fanboy, it is just my impression of fanboys). --

This is not about the decision to give free skill points, it is about the timing of the announcement of the decision to give free skill points. You can disagree with the decision while agreeing that the timing is friggin' awesome.
(Personally I couldn't care less about the free SP. What's a day's worth of SP worth when you've played for ~1500 days?)

No, I believe I do not agree. I rather would find it awesome if CCP had destroyed everyone's ship to silence the masses, with the exclusion of capitals. This is what I would have considered as awesome. This is still a game about blowing ships up and having fun with it. --
