Hi
I have only been playing Eve for about 2 months but before I activated my trial account to full I won't lie, the skill times scared me after reading these forums.
I read a post and he said something like "X years till I make over 1 mil ISK an hour". And I just want to point out that is complete bs.
After playing Eve for a month (includes 2 week trial) I moved out into low sec because I didn't like the idea of wardecs and the playstyle / mindset of high sec.
In just a month (to learn the basics and figure out a 100 year skill plan) I took a destroyer with some AC's and moved out to low sec.
Now, another month later I live in low-sec with some friends that I made out here, I make easily over 1mil ISK an hour without any effort.
For example, I just pulled in a 750k bounty (got lucky with a BS rat average without is 300-500k) in 15min. That doesn't include all the salvage I got from those rats which is about 1mil in total. And lets not forget the rare rat you find every now and then that has a 1mil bounty.
Also, that doesn't include all the equipment I looted and just reprocessed which includes 110k Tritanium, 61k Pyerite, 21k Mexallon, 3k Isogen, 150 Noc, 47 Zyd, 50 Mega.
So in 15minutes I've made about 2mil? Give or take a little more or less.
The point is, I've only been playing this game for 2 months but right now I sit on a bank of 36mil + A few mil in reprocessed minerals + a few mil in salvaged stuff.
You think 36mil isn't alot, ok... I also carry a Rifter BPO and EMP S BPO so now I don't even need to buy Rifter's when I lose my ship when I suicide into Battleships for tackling.
The only things I need to worry about is my mod's but guess what? I don't have to worry about those either because these rats drop all the mods you need on a ship (except gyro's and guns).
So now, I only have to buy gyro's and my AC's when my ship dies. But guess what? I'm soon going to buy an AC BPO so I won't even have to buy guns. In the end I will almost be 100% self sustained which means ISK doesn't mean anything to me because I make everything or already have everything I need.
Ok, so you think Rifter's and Destroyers are LOL ships. But now all this money I'm making is going to be saved for my Cruiser's (multiple because I will lose them to PvP) I will be flying next week.
Why does it take me so long to get into a cruiser? (about 2 1/2 months) Because I'm one of those kids who eats my green vegetables first. I trained most of my support skills, the boring Engineer, Mechanic, Electronics skills.
For the record, I only have Learning 4 and my basics at 3. Ok 3 years later this will bug me, but if I'm playing Eve for that long then time doesn't really mean anything.
