That's actually kinda old, if you search through the rest of their videos they review EVE Online proper, it's pretty funny.

TBH I wasn't fond of that review, wasn't terribly funny and half the points he made were kind of... ******ed.
First he goes off about how despite what everyone says, eve is, in fact, exactly like every other MMO in existence. Then he goes and *****es about how the skill system is completely difference from every other MMO in existence. Then he *****es about the skills, saying he can't figure out what they do, when every one tells you, with more accuracy than most other games, exactly what the skill does. Then he *****es about how he had no intention of joining a corp, which sort of raises the question of why anyone would want to play an MMO in single player mode...
Some of his stuff was spot on though, all systems being samey, drop down menus sucking, the UI in general being crap etc.
Still, the review overall sort of gave me the impression he hadn't so much played the game as he did read an in-depth guide or 2 and base the review off that. |

Bwep bwep... FANBOY ALERT
How dare you accuse me of being a fanboy for speaking out against the hatred and misinformation spewed from that aussie's vile troll...ery. Eve is the single greatest game on the face of the earth, and anyone who says otherwise is clearly just too stupid to get its' complexities. People like you, who hate this game but still play it, are the worst thing to happen to eve since macro miners.
Speaking of which, macro miners have GOT to go. They sneak in from other games, and they take money from honest, hard-working eve players. How am I supposed to earn the isk to get myself a new CNR for my family when these illegal types are selling their minerals for a quarter the price? We can't compete with miners that sell their ore at a price so low the ships practically pay for themselves. They're slowly taking our jobs right from under our noses!
Speaking of jobs, the only thing I hate more than macro miners are those idiots who work at McDonalds and can't get your freaking order right! It's like, crap, wtf am I supposed to tell you to do to show how bad you are at IRL? When people suck at their jobs I usually tell them McDonalds is hiring, but wtf am I supposed to tell someone WHO ALREADY WORKS THERE? Christ, how is it that hard to understand that I wanted a f***ing LARGE diet coke? If I'd wanted a medium I'd have asked for it but I didn't did I?
And while we're talking about things we didn't ask for, why the hell is this jackass of a president so insistent on trying to force health insurance on everyone? It's NOT FREE FFS. WE HAVE TO PAY FOR IT WITH HIGHER TAXES! Also free health care puts us one step closer to communism, and that's the opposite of what it says in the bible. Speaking of which, jesus hates macros, and suicide gankers, those guys are jerks.
Speaking of jerks who suicide gank people, why is it that even though they made it not-profitable to suicide gank people that there are still guys who do it? Clearly we need to remove insurance for anyone who's been involved with a concord killing. High security sectors of space should be SAFE. Make it so that you have to pay HEAVILY if you aggress someone in highsec, and while your at it remove scamming, there's no reason to allow it as it only serves to let griefers make the innocent people suffer, and griefing is against the EULA! These griefers cause many people to quit and they make CCP lose money! How is eve ever going to grow as a game if all the new players get chased out by suicide gankers and scammers?

Also, ZP is makes for two things - minor comedy and completely biased game reviews.

Meh, when i watched the ZP review, i was thinking about things that would've been a lot funnier and how he even made things up. There's so much stuff in Eve that could be premium material for a parody but instead he focused on boring stuff..

Stopped reading there.
He's British. You can tell by the accent and the line of text saying so under every single ZP review.
Not that I'm saying he was entirely right about EVE - I play it, after all - but you don't get to wail about his factual accuracy if you think he's Australian.

Zero Punctuation reviews are ALL like that. Every game he "reviews" he rips them a new one. It's a Comic review. As in, it's meant to be funny, not a real, accurate, honest review of a game. It's a funny. That's it.

IMO he's actually more accurate than most of the game review sites out there. Just pay close attention to what specific parts of the game he complains about, and understand that the point of the review is to complain rather than drum up salves for the gaming companies buying ads on the site. If the things he complains about don't bother you, then you're probably safe getting the game.

But no, he never gets old because he's always combining and creating some of the most random analogies.

yeah, basically he took a few cheap shots and missed the good comedy material. Imagine him reviewing a fleet battle... Ow well.

Well they are fishy old friend but his attituders towards mmorpgs (pronounced in that unique way of his) are known to be less than enlightening when it comes to cracking the whole multiplayer part.
