Dear Dev`s ,
at the moment Planetary command centres are not a command centre at all, they are just a simple power source .Should be called planet battery or power station.
I wondered why during development of these, that they were not designed as what they are described as , ie "command centre"
Which means that all your Planetary structures are controlled through the command centre in an interface, eg
You click on command centre and much like a pos tower ,an interface pops up.
Extractors can be switched on or off singularly or en mass , cycle times can be programmed, possibly different extractors etc
Links and routes are controlled thru the same interface,
Processors can also be controlled .
Would be more realistic and in keeping with normal operation of high tech equipment.

Never thought of that but now as you say it, it also sounds like a less exhausting and less tedious interface to the pins.

Imagine if the CC opened up an 3d HUD with planet and various icons representing extractors and factories. When you klicked the icon HUD would project 3d image of the facility for your entertainment...
What i'm trying to say, it's working like that allready but much better than bunch of POS tabs with zillion options.
Only thing i agree is that the CC is kinda irrelevant at the moment. I originally thought it would be in orbit cloaked with space elevator and 1 manufacture and science slot or something like that...

Yeah , i was surprised that they called it a CC when it actually doesnt do anything remotely connected to its description apart from provide power planet side .
Lets hope CCP picks up on my suggestion and improve and tweak the PI interaction .

So here CCP comes, gives you a cool 3D interface for PI, and the first thing you ask is if they can give back the nice spreadsheet interface instead

That's just because the usability of the cool 3D interface is ridiculous compared to the table counterpart.
