Patch notes for Tyrannis 1.0.2, released June 29, 2010
CRITICAL.
Due to the unprecedented nature of the downtime on the 23rd and 24th of June, players have been awarded a number of bonus skill points to assign to a skill or skills of their choice. These skill points will be assigned to the highest skill point character on the account and can be applied by right clicking the desired skill in the character sheet.
100k skill points is considered critical? good to have replaced but hardly, critical!
Market
òOxygen and Water will now be listed under the planetary materials and not under trade goods in the market window. òPlanetary Materials market group will now display the correct icon.
and this is considered important too? did we players suddenly forget there is a market search fuction and a item quick bar there to use? Been there for years in fact.
Sheesh! shouldn't you be concentrating on an actual faulty 96 hour timer issue on your new PI setup. Where you cannot stop it, as it trudles on in an never ending loop without destroying the extractor and replacing it with a new one,I know they are not massivley expensive to replace,at least for most of us players. However, the point is it's actually a broken/faulty game function and should not pushed out of the way for trivia.
Sorry but it' kind of takes the Wow!factor out of "wow here's your new ship toy" but we haven't fixed a fault in the code which controls a crucial item involved in the PI operation. Again it's not the isk involved it's the customer perception(s) of the product delivered,
Sorry! but thats the way most folks look at things these days, you don't paper over the cracks to hide the faults or fiddle arround with minor items you fix the faults then give a shinney toy as by way of an appology as and if you feel its appropriate.

Originally by: Tiberious Heth wow...............people still insist on smack talking ccp about how long it takes for them to deploy a new patch, or not fixing previously known issues or whatever the hell else. But they are all still so adicted to the game.
What do you want next? CCP to run the plexes for you? Mining all that arkonor for you? or how about they wipe your arse every time you take a dump??
I have an idea.....why dont you go make an mmo as epic as eveonline, and let us know how well you get on with updating it and patching it as much as ccp has done here.
yes there are issues that could do with being fixed. yes it would be brilliant if everything always went as planned and on time. but the woork ccp does is a real life thing (its a job for real people in the real world) and real life never goes as smoothly as you would like.
i suggest you take the extra hours dt and spend it with your families or doing something a little more constructive than playing games.
Excuse me! but as I am Sem-retired have a lovely wife and family inccluding grand children with whom I spend as much time with as I want, add to that two horses to look after and a sizeable garden. I think my life is prety full and undominated by EVE. So go lecture some infantile still wet behind the ears child, only do it properly not stupidly or they will take the total P**s out of you.

To fix a software problem is not that easy...
Agreed for someone not trained or skilled at it, but they employ professionals, er.. allegedly.

Originally by: Jimmina I would like to know who does the ETA estimates for CCP.
The downtime is always way, way longer than anticipated. Maybe throwing in a variable like 1.5 in front of the equation would save a lot of customer angst.
Its not that bad it's just they succumed to lagg, and were all ued to that, lol

Possibly hence the various database and coding issues.

Originally by: Draynan I really love playing this game.... however i think CCP are being a little "eliteist" but not posting regular updates to the DT situation... customer service must not be very high on the CCP agenda - again.....
Surely it wouldn't take too much effort to get some bloke (even the janitor at CCP) to punch out a few works for an update more regularly!!!!
Lol can't get janitor to do that!, S**t no, he's busy fixing the goddam coding issues
