You are right. You're a paying customer and as such, you have every right to stop paying for services that do not meet your standards. But, if you are going to complain AND continue to pay them, you really have done nothing but contradict yourself.
Money talks, QQ on the forums does nothing when you're still feeding them money.
I agree and have always voted with my feet!! So I am out of here and unimpressed with the performance.

Thanks for proving that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. The fact is, patches ARE tested, but there is no way to test EVERYTHING that the player base experiences in any reasonable amount of time. Sure the autopilot bug should have been found, but if they didn't change anything related to the autopilot (I can't confirm that) why would you waste time even checking to see if autopilot was affected by Tuesdays patch?
They don't have the man power to test what the hundreds of thousands of players "test" on live, be glad you are getting a fix two days later. My years of WoW playing have never been so forgiving.
How many testers would it take to find that the route calculation has changed unintentionally? Oh right, none! This should be caught by automatic unit testing!
And CCP developed that great stress testing framework (although this is not listed on the feature page of Tyrannis anymore), so they should be easily capable of simulating hundreds or even thousands of players.
Just because you like to explain people that they have no idea what they are talking about...

How much time does it take to test the full extent of player capabilities of EVE? Because it's easy, with 20/20 hindsight, to say "there, that didn't work" but it's not as easy to ANTICIPATE the UNEXPECTED errors. Keywords in caps. So to make sure everything is perfectly working you will have to test every single part of the eve interface, mechanics, math, interaction. And guess what? Even if you did, something would slip through. Something always does.
Also, how much time does it take to check your route once you set it? you get a bunch of little dots on the screen and it's extremely easy to figure out the losec ones. Yet many people did not.

Just because you read the patch notes doesn't mean you know anything about testing. Yes, this should've been checked. Yes, they made a blunder. Is it a terrible quality assurance problem? nah. It's just one of the things that go under the heading of "**** happens".

- You are now able to trash items normally that are located in a corporate hangar array at a POS.
Dear Mother of god, is this the best patch of the year? Include repackaging and I would consider it to be the best patch.

That just proves one (or both) of two things: 1) that the code is such a mess that changes to an unrelated part of code messed with the autopilot code. 2) the their internal processes are completely flawed and they're not communicating the changes they make to the testers.
In fact, you could go further and ask why they didn't communicate any change (if a change was made), which would mean that they either don't know about the changes that were made, or they couldn't remember making the changes. Which to me implies that they're not effectively using source code control, or some other means of tracking the code changes that they make.
Alternatively, it could just mean that QA were slacking off instead of Dev slacking off!
Take your pick, it's one or the other.

Everything I lost in Rancer short of my cargo was replaced. He was nice enough to give me 1.5 billion isk directly to my wallet. The load was worth a bit more but oh well. At least I got my ship and implants back.
Thanks CCP o/
I already suggested to BL3H camping in Rancer to blow their own ships up and file complaints to have blown up stuff reimbursed (whilst keeping the wreckloot, too). You guys recognize the possible problem with reimbursement here?

I haven't been able to connect to eve, since 1.0.1. Auto patch is not working, and has in the past.
I still can't download the manual patch from home or work. http://content.eveonline.com/evepremiumpatch156690-166321_m.exe I get IE not found errors.
No reply from Eve support to my petition, except to ask what build I was using? I had already said what build in the petition text, so they didn't even read it.
I'm now losing lots of skill points. "Not happy Jan"

Also, people *****ing about there being a patch is pathetic. You moan and whine when they don't patch things - and then you moan and whine when they do!

Lots of concord responding to low sec status in 0.0... the phrase "Its all over, lawbreaker!" comes to mind.

DId you tried alternate Browsers yet I.e. Firefox. or Chrome?
Maybe download them and see if they work.....since IE has quite a long time troubles with some certain download sites and adresses.
Oh and check your firewall sttings as well....sometimes it's the damn freakin firewall gives often a hard time ^^

I'd love to know what version of WoW some people on this thread managed to get a hold of, because I played the one where every single patch broke several major skills for each class (Arcane missile, anyone?) and where my server constantly crashed.
EVE is not any worse than other MMOs out there. CCP shouldn't have to put up with so much impotent nerd grief for finding their own mistakes quickly and working to fix them.

Why does it have to be mornings CST? Server goes down around 6am for me, which usually isn't a big deal because its back online before i need to go to work. Not the case with these extended DT. And with Tyrannis requiring a steady schedule of restarting extractors, its annoying that you guys **** with my chosen time so often. Why not start the patch early to finish as scheduled or something, just annoying that it goes until like 10am then i can't restart my extractors which causes me to lose a minimum of 30 million because of ****ed cycle times. Even if the DT is slightly longer it screws with planner. I'd say limit yourselves guys. It is one thing to update a software, its another to do every other day.

Some one touched it. You should cover your changes with unit test. End of discussion.
If you really think you need to test all of EVE just to make sure the calculation of routes is still working the way it worked before a change is made you really have my sympathy.
