Overview settings get exported to Documents\EVE\overview. Bookmarks and ship fittings are stored server-side, so you don't need to back those up, however bookmark folders are stored locally. If you also back up %localappdata%\CCP\EVE\path_to_your_eve_installation\settings then you should get everything (including window positions and other settings).

Stored on server. You can export them to local disk from ingame.

Stored in binary form. Your best bet is to backup your %UserProfile%/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/whereveryoureve/settings folder.

Stored on server. Not possible to export in any way. Folder structure is stored locallly under abovementioned directory. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

Nope. They are on your machine. I know this as I cleared my cache a few weeks ago, and that also killed all fits stored. But you can export to XML format, that is correct.

While being displayed, the Overview is obviously binary. However your settings, tabs, etc, can be exported into XML from the Overview Settings window. And imported again from there.

Blame CCP for not using normal settings mechanics... may be they finally realize it and we won't be loosing settings every other patch. -- Thanks CCP for cu |
