I bet ccp just sits back and laughs at all the drama this game produces, really it likes poking holes in ant mounds and watching them scurry around. IT's just a game sometimes games just **** you off thats when i log off and go do something constructive and calm down.

op is teh crybaby
I was in 05 yesterday and watched a afk hulk get pummeled by a lone roid rat for 3 hours. This is why hulkageddon is necessessary, too many complacent morons flying 130m isk ships.
and also you just cant compete with the yummy years Had one guy raging at me in local for 4 days cos I took his covetor from him, I can't wait till he gets his first hulk, he'll cry at me for 3 months

I think we need to make hulkageddon last longer...like a month...you can only do so much damage to hulks and bot miners (the real target) in the minute amount of time hulkageddon runs. Granted I still enjoy popping hulks in high sec like I enjoy any other thing...ie beer, women and more beer.

Like anyone needs HAG to pop hulks. It's not like it changes game mechanics ya know? The only change is smart miners doing something else. You just want to be given an excuse - why do you need one?

I saw someone else say that, "Hulkageddon never ends - there are just the occasional periods with prizes."
I rather like that philosophy. --------------- Faction-Militia:Player-Alliance::Newbie-corp:Player-corp |

Eve is all about conflict.
good versus bad, its just unfortunate that good so often happens to be the prey.

Edited by: Joe McAlt on 24/08/2010 03:33:04 Yes, I am a carebear. I am one of those who enjoy lounging on the couch with my laptop, playing some Metal, and watching the pretty lasers pulse into those poor roids. I also really enjoy watching my wallet get fatter each time I dock with a new load of ore.
I have tried missioning, but the missions in eve are terrible to say the least. Nothing creative or demanding, just long tedious sets of red exes to pop. The story lines are poor and by the time IÆm done with one IÆm ready to pull my hair out.
IÆve tried a little PvP, but unless youÆre with a roving gang, more often then not you fall victim to one and once so outnumbered, it really doesnÆt matter how good you are, you are probably going to lose. Also gate camping is every bit as boring as mining is suppose to be but with out the rewards. Still, I can see the appeal and maybe once my main is better suited for it, pvp will become a greater focus for me.
Now to my point, I am in full support of ganking and hulkageddon. Not only does it stick it to the bot miners, but seriously it gives my mining that bit of excitement, that feeling of being watched that keeps me on my toes. Yes, IÆve lost some ships, be really most of the time itÆs the gankers that fail. Either way they lose their ships in high sec so really, there is nothing unfair about it. Yesterday I was alone in a high sec roid field when a Raven warped in 16 km from me. I was already aligned to my station so I hit the jump button and my drives lit brightly as my lumbering hulk began to inch forward. Now I donÆt know what the Raven pilot was looking for, but before I could make it to warp he turned and jumped out of system. I breathed a sigh of relief and hit stop engines. In that time my lasers never stopped poking holes in those roids. Okay, a little harmless excitement to lift my day. If he had started shooting, well I made enough this weekend to just about pay for my ship anyway. It would have been something to see his raven pop to concord over a hulk, and I probably would have gotten to loot it as well.

Miner's should be happy about Hulkageddon. Dock up, wait a few weeks, and then mineral prices will go up because of lack of supply. Herp derp. Please re-size your signature to the maximum allowed of 400 x 120 pixels with a maximum file size of 24000 bytes. Zymurgist |
