Accept knowledge when offered. It may surprise you that he may offer something of use. But guess what, you will only know that after he does it.
People only have a finite amount of time in their lives as such some discretion must be taken when determining how to spend it.
As such the credibility of a source is of great importance when deciding how best to invest that time.
No offence intended to the OP (Semper Fi Tufflehunden) but a 1st Lt is basically the commissioned version of a PFC barely trusted to wipe his own backside with out a proper NCO to keep an eye on him. Further if you actually went through the ranks to Lance (that's a PFC in the army trusted to wipe his own backside only in earshot of a competent NCO) that means that he did OCS from the enlisted ranks which speaks well for his ability to wipe his own backside with out supervision at some point but lacks the gravitas of say an Annapolis graduate who'd have spent at least 4 years immersed in military history and strategic doctrine.
Even however if the OP had claimed instead to have been Colin Power himself (I'd say you can be considered a fairly competent strategist when your doctrine has been embraced by the most powerful military force that has ever existed on this planet) the anonymity of the internet would leave us in a position of wondering if it really was Colin Power giving the class or some pock faced 13 year old with a library card and a dog eared copy of The Art of War.
You see you're not the only ex military guy floating around here (5 years USMC myself, dual MOS 8151 Security forces(0352) Anti-tank Assaultman ). I wouldn't be surprised to find a few Majors and even some Light and Full Birds playing the game.
Now you might be some sort of strategic genius but with out establishing some bonifides beyond "hey I was an officer in the Marines" no one is going to take you seriously.
That would be why people have suggested go get some kills. Even better go get some kills get on the Killboards then go out and run some fleets and prove yourself as a competent FC for a major nullsec alliance.
Then you'll have the credibility and gravitas to come onto the boards and say "hey I want to teach you scrubs a thing or two about strategy".
Oh and for all the people here mis-stating the difference between strategy and tactics.
Tactics is using troops and materials to win battles. Strategy is using battles to win wars.
Logistics while critical to both is neither.

Be that as it may my point still stands you can claim to be what ever you want. Course as former infantry I'd like to point out that Motor T is most often not considered a combat MOS still non-infantry officers often get put in charge of infantry units.
It is of course not relevant to my point. You could be your grandfather or your unit commander we still have no way of knowing that you are who you claim to be rather than some pimply kid.
And heck being a pimply kid isn't an automatic dis-qualifier to being an genius strategists. A lot of generals are complete morons when it comes to basic strategy.
I'm pretty sure there are probably some pimply faced FC's who've never seen a volume of TAW, floating around in EVE who could give most officers a class on strategy.
And I'm not one who agrees with the folks saying that TAW isn't applicable to EVE. It's been a few years since I read it (ok a couple decades) but most of this stuff seemed pretty timeless to me.
In fact I think the Faction War folks could profit quite a bit on what he wrote about spies.
It still comes down to establishing some bonifides. Now perhaps you'll get enough interest from people who will then go one to apply your lessons and gain success and notoriety then perhaps your strategy school might gain some traction.
But for now your just some dude on the internet.

Eh trust me, I didn't choose Motor T. Then gain, they wouldn't let me be infantry either; apparently a 127 GT score on the ASVAB means you're "too smart" for the grunts. <.<
Strange they must have changed that. I had higher and they let me be a grunt. Course I ended up a tow gunner then got tapped for security forces, Then again I went in "guaranteed" infantry was also guaranteed overseas and the furthest I ever got out of the country was Tijuana.
The corps does with you what they will ;)
Doesn't change any of my argument though. You're still just some dude on the internet playing a video game.
Best of luck though.
