Leader board is pretty active with one pilot killing most. http://hulkageddon3.griefwatch.net/?p=ranking
will pilots soon place bounty's on people that is in this list?
Do you think EVE will make mining pilots mean revengeful bastards and seek revenge on people of this list?. Like constantly place bounty after bounty on the same people all year long.? Just for revenge as payback for their greif. Maybe because they reaked havoc on miners, now miners can reak havoc back all year long to these pilots. making them suffer all year long as a revenge for their losses?
Just curious, does it happen.?

Placing bounties on people is just giving them free money... wait for bounty to become big enough, jumpclone to a clone without implants. Pod yourself with alt, or if you have no alt handy, have a friend do it. Collect isk.

Depends on the person. I do not bear ill will against anyone that blows up a fellow miner during Hulkageddon. In fact, I support Hulkageddon for the reason it is a legal action defined by the game mechanics. Moreover, I do agree to a point made about macroing miners stripping a belt clean with their programs. I do not think personally this is fair. I never use a program and I am disappointed to find a belt stripped bare because of programming.
Having said this, I believe resistance comes in many forms. Some may in fact turn to retaliation once the names of the players particpating in Hulkageddon are known. Others such as myself may choose a more passive form of resistance. In my case, I simply am made more determined to mine.
We should expect any reaction based on the person reacting to Hulkageddon III.

Would you also be upset if the belt was mined by a player :-D

I am sure the macoers will die more than the real players. But, I think that it would be cool to see gankageddon. Would make for a fun event if they did it. The more drama in eve the better. Heck, if they wanted to have fun, setup cheap bait ships for fun now. But, alas, I think that most of the live miners like to play solo and chat in channels and do the market for the most part.
They just really play a different type of Eve than PVPers, so I doubt we will see any of it really.

That point was in reference to those who use a macro program to clear a belt, away from their computer. I'm sure I was clear on that issue. But your question deserves an answer and the answer is no.

Most of the kills are macro. ATK hulk miners will align and dock before a gank gets set up.
Will those people ever become hatefull enough to in essence become the people ganking thier hulks? No. They dont play EvE. It means nothing to them. They dont have the compulsive mean streak and will never develop it. |

While an event like hulkagedon is within the scope of the game anger can still easily result.
I like the idea of mining groups posting bounties on those that prey on them to excess. It is also ôa legal action defined by the game mechanicsö.
It is however a real shame that death can be rendered so cheep killing yourself for eth bounty is a workable strategy.
I want to post a bounty of 50% of destroyed ship, fitting, and cyber wear value to a maximum of xxxxx.

Good question. The thing, however, is this: if people really wanted to punish those who took part, they would have done it right after Hulkageddon I and we wouldn't have had a II or III. It would have been taken care of right there.
Thing is, I think people like what Hulkageddon does to the game. Even if they don't plan on ganking a Hulk or agree with the event, the atmosphere has changed and people like that change. It raises the tension a bit, and underscores the point that you are never completely safe in Eve.

This idea won¦t work, as other poster mentioned, a bounty only will make the ganker richer.
On the other side, miners have lots of iskies. I could imagine an audited "fund" to hire mercenaries to kill and pod listed ppl for several times, if there is enough money.
My two cents.

Actually during hulkageddon many macro are programmed to dock if any ship comes too close. Pretty fun to roam in belts in a shuttle and to see barge after barge docking as you get in range... -- 081014 : emoragequit, char transfered to a friend, 090317 : back to original owner blog |

My corp have found lots of macroers that dont even know they have died for hours. Had one guy continue to fly his pod to and from station for most of the day
