Originally by: Ataal R'tha Isn't that the point of the capsule, to be able to fly a ship without a crew? Sucks it something broke though.
If not:
WTB advanced gunnery crew, 10% bonus to tracking speed/damage/range.
The Capsule replaces the whole command structure and also allows for advanced control of the ship's system.
Someone still has to go into the hydraulics chamber of the Artillery turret joint and fiddle the Fedo out of the valve where it got itself squished. A robot just isn't versatile enough for such a delicate task (or would cost more than your whole crew). -------- All I want is a better mankind.

It does not matter what you think. You are not in the position to define the game setting and background. If you don't want it, then just STFU about it. -------- All I want is a better mankind.

Found your problem.
Of course you can always keep some 20-50 robotics in your cargo to RP you're not using life crew. -------- All I want is a better mankind.

Unless the crew of the ship is in the same pods (considering this is the state you have to be in, in order to fly in space) they would not survive the Warp Drive traveling.
So, 25000 years of evolution is enough, IMHO, for the creation of ships that can be operated by a single mind, not needing crews whatsoever. Hell, if CONCORD ships are fully automated robots, we can safely deduct that the "demigods" of New Eden don't need human crews to operate wateva ships they put their smelly pods into.
The protection of the pod is needed because it can fly around in warp without sitting in the inertia field of a ship. It does not mean crew needs to be in a pod, too. Also read up on EVE history and you'll see of those 25000 years only a fraction were actually used to go forward and a lot were going backwards. Besides, your humble opinion means nothing when prime fiction and background is saying the opposite. -------- All I want is a better management.
