So I'm in rens and have just bought an atron, becuase I think it looks cool (<3 atron), even though it's a more or less useless frigate to fight with. Knowing this, I fit it with all meta and T1, evreything under 75k isk except the prop mod and the rigs. (The plan on the fit was to just get as much TV as possible and laugh at everybody).
Here is the fit:

Hobgoblin I x1 (Yes, T1 hob, I can use T2, but hey :P)
This fit with my skills has 1494ehp, does 57dps, and moves at 1132m/s with an align time of 3.8s, so I'm not expecting to kill anything, just mess around.
Anyway, eventually some guy wants to 1v1 me "ship to ship" (whatever that means), and I agree, not knowing what she he'll bring out. Turns out he brings a merlin, and we begin fighting. I start losing quickly because he has both a neut and nos, so my cap is being pwnt, so I decide to start orbiting at 10kish, outside of his rocket range. I figure that i can orbit just inside of my scram range, and be out of his nos/neut range, and potentially out of his rocket range while my mighty hobgoblin I kills him. I win.

Anyway, here is the whole conversation between us, with tears at the end:

(At this point, i start having my drone kill him, and win the fight)

(Lol, ship to ship? wtf)
The Guy > and i have to con vo
The Guy > then
Dopekitten > ?
Dopekitten > Ship to ship
Dopekitten > I.e. to the death?
The Guy > that was bs i had you
The Guy > ship to ship is no drones

Dopekitten > Well, then that gives you an unfair advantage
Dopekitten > Becuase the drone is part of my dps
The Guy > nope you should know better and you got more time then me

You have to understand, killing your atron would have done a lot to fix their terrible k/d ratio.
Shame you had to resort to dirty tricks

1 vs 1 means 1 player, vs 1 player. This includes whatever the player has in his ship.

Nice Job, I woulda done the same. He shoulda killed your Hob & forced you back into range. I have to say it is a good tactic to t1 fit a bad frig and hang around the Rens Treasury, it usually doesn't take long before somebody takes the bait.
