Hi-Sec is the poorly guarded UN Refugee Camp. Low sec are the guys in trucks with machete's. Null Sec is the warring paramilitary groups that call themselves freedom fighters. Wormholes is the towns so small there are no roads, maps or law.
Good analogy.
Now just throw in the vastly superior alien "friendly" force spreading peace and civilization by the very effective method of killing every last punk opposing them and I'll be happy with EVE. "We want your help to convince management to develop Incarna into 3rd person shooter dungeon raiding with friendly fire in nullsec space..."

Unless you do nothing in-game except for flying around in an Ibis, then you aren't playing solo. You see - there is where you're wrong. You could potential be buying and selling stuff from or to a bot and you wouldn't know. thats not interacting.

If CCP every get around to understanding solo and casual gameplay this game could be good. Therein lays the understanding of what he is trying to say. The kid sitting in the corner, playing by him- / herself, is playing a game but there actually not playing the game that the hole of the sandbox is.
It's like this. You have a brother whom has kids. you see them every day as they're living just down the street You are a part of a family.
But unless you have kids of your own, you actually not part of the most important family. Your own. Hope you get my picture as there is a distinctive difference in how it effects you life.
It's perfectly okay to not wanting to have kids but CCP has build you a family house with rooms for kids and by sitting alone in that big house, your missing out on something. That is what he is trying to say. |

I would describe the game as having to choose whether you want to be castrated or have your tool amputated but leave the balls.
