Looking at the description of the Arazu it says that it only grants a bonus to range for Disruptors and says nothing about scramblers.
Am I correct in thinking it does nothing to boost the range of scramblers?

It boosts the range of scramblers.

Nope, the recon bonus works just fine on warp scramblers.
Next up: why hardly anyone flies rapiers any more.

No one flies rapiers anymore because even triple webbed someone can MWD back to the gate easily in a frigate or cruiser.

The Arazu is more useful than the Rapier for gatecamps now, by far. But Rapiers are still very important for small gang fights off gate, where the Arazu doesnt have the speed or range to be very successful at stopping people with a scram. |

Now people are realizing how good an Arazu is... Just 6 months ago I was called a noob repeatedly for saying how awesome an Arazu is in a gatecamp.... ------- "Because the Dominix is the Chuck Norris of Eve!" |

Edited by: Able Pat on 13/07/2010 14:34:40 With scramblers, can a huginn get close enough to an Arazu (or the other gallente one) to be able to target it, if the gallente recon has say 3 dampners - or 4 for that?
If not can they get close enough if the Huginn has a sensor booster? Or 2 or 3 sensor boosters? |

If an Arazu has 3-4 dampeners, you don't have to get close to it ù just wait until it runs into some random space dust and it will explodeà
àwell, that, or the Arazu will be slightly less agile than a pregnant manatee, and about as fast. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Its why the blastarazu is such a fine ship, no damps req, and tbh no point, recon5 and true sancha scrambler..22km scram, with warfare link bonuses it gets silly, decent buffer and neutrons, happy days.

For some extra fun, hook up with a gang linked Loki and scramble from 25km range and put points on stuff 80km+ out .. just a mad synergy between the Loki and the Gallente Recons

Synergy with T3's and gallente recons.
loki's web Bonus with a proteus's scram bonus makes them flow well together that and the proteus will be closer and it generally sports a decent buffer/armor.
