Preface: Haven't been watching ATX until this weekend, and I'm aware of the problems CCP was having last week
So is it me or does the stream quality seem rather low this year? The "HD" stream is very soft to the point where I'm not sure if it's even in HD. Specifically I'd say it looks like it's a lot closer to 480p, and my network bandwidth monitor would seem to back that up as this is only a 512Kb/sec stream. Furthermore there's a very noticable amount of flutter going on (maybe deinterlacing artifacts?).
I seem to remember the HD streams in previous years being much better in quality. I have to say this is a bit of a letdown, especially since we're going to be watching the finals on an HD projector tomorrow. |

So just to respond to myself, Stream #2 is at least a bit better. It's still a 512k stream, but at least there's no fluttering. |

having used X-split a lot for stuff, it is a good broadcast client BUT not amazing and it doesn't handle HD very well What we're actually doing is removing both hisec and PvP from the game entirely. It seems like the fairest way to solve this problem. - CCP Grayscale -á- CCP troll BEST troll <3 |
