risingmoon parchseason	Posted - 2010.07.16 09:58:00 - [5] usually its a faction fitted sleipnir, but i have been finally turned to the darkside after 5 years of eve and flown cladari in PvP, using a tengu. lots of easy to change variations around: ganglinks, 400-500dps averaged tank, or great buffer, ECM proof as you can get, webby tackle coupled with :reasonable dps on larger ships, good agility and over 1200 ms with an afterburner for good close in orbits or longer range engagements. though for the sheer bling Entities estamels state issue raven is pretty sweet.

My guess is no, since any solo PvPer would know that battleships are terrible solo PvP options that just die to the first gatecamp/bait ship/etc they run into. For a successful solo PvP ship, you need the following things: 1) DPS. You need enough dps to not only break the tank on your target, but do it fast enough that you get the loot or ransom before anyone else joins the fight. This rules out most frigate hulls. 2) Speed. You need to be able to avoid gatecamps, burn away from bait ships when local spikes, etc. If you are slow, you are dead. This rules out any non-Machariel battleship, and it definitely rules out the laughably stupid failfits posted so far that don't even bother to fit a MWD. 3) Frigate defense. At some point you will be tackled by a fast frigate, since you can't bring a frigate hull yourself (see point #1). Since you depend on speed, you need this frigate dead ASAP. This means you need some combination of neuts, drones, or weapons that can hit a frigate effectively in a 500m orbit. Sadly this rules out some otherwise appealing solo ships like the Zealot. Neut-fitted Domini can rip through a frig or cruiser in like a minute without letting them escape or dropping below 90% armor... uh, I hear.
