Pilots,
Given the success of Mouse Nell in sending a probe through the Sansha wormholes and retrieving footage, I think it's time we send something else through instead - bombs.
stealth bombers are already useful ships in responding to the sansha incursions - all the benefits of a frigate, with firepower to worry battleships. I say it's time we chuck something explosive down those wormholes and see what happens.

Hmmm, an interesting proposition. I think I just learned how to fly a Manticore.

Hm. Verin, won't this require trying to get CONCORD to unlock bomb launchers in high or lowsec?
And haven't they already expressed a reluctance (read: refusal) to do that sort of thing?

Stitcher, I think we should stick with the original plan. I'll discuss this more with you in private. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

Then they're consigning more thousands of people to slavery for the sake of protocol when all that's needed is a single special circumstantial dispensation.
Reluctance be damned, I'll do it even if I have to drive a stealth bomber right through the wormhole event horizon with the bomb armed.
And Andreus - inflexible adherence to a plan that's not bearing fruit just means that the plan will CONTINUE to not bear fruit. Adaptability is key in warfare. -

Come now Mr. Stitcher, would you honestly expect anything being within range of the wormholes that deployed bombs meager flight time could reach?
Well, it would excite the carrier I think, but otherwise rather pointless. ______

While I like this idea, sadly, bombs only can be deployed in null sec space. I don't believe it's possible to launch a bomb in high- or low-security space so it can travel through the wormhole.

Then we shall have to find a solution to that little obstacle. Send a ship through instead of a bomb, maybe. or a whole wing of bombers! |
