Dust will attract FPS players who normally don't have an interest in Eve. They will pay money for Dust and that way CCP will get money that they can use on Eve.
Eve will loose players that get tired of a game that lags and problems, has features many don't want and parts that are not properly balanced like FW, rockets etc... So think of this before u claim all new is the income.
I get that more money is good, i get that more players wanting to play eve is good. What CCP and apparently Mr M don't get is KEEPING the current players should be 90%+ of your priority. But i guess ccp doesn't earn much on the 100s-thousands subscribers already, witch often are alts btw. I do understand that you have to keep evolving, but it has to be in a rate that lets Eve be as it is, and working.
So I agree with people that have said, fix current problems as a priority. If u get a good balanced, working game, THAT will attract a lot more players + income and make eve a good base to build next parts on. I am though one of the people looking forward to Dust514. Wish it would be PC released as well, but i understand the idea. We all have the day we just wanna shoot someone, don't we :) But ill rather see a full blown 0.0 or FW battle with 200-2000 ppl that was epic in a way u will remember for years to come. But now days all that is epic that people remember is the lags, bugs and other issues.
No need to make it look and act more like other games, make it unique and make it EVE. You have so many manufactures struggling to make their games like eve, trying to attract people. That usually means the original is good.
Last id like to add, thanks to CCP for all the latest details and info we get from blogs and news. Be it the problems or the updates you do. Because were ever eve is heading, its nice to know the course and what makes the hamsters tick.
