Ok, I dont really want something new, but I think it would be a good idea to implement a feature on the shield boosters that you can set. Basically if your shields get below a certain %, then the booster auomatically kicks in. say, have a setting to turn it on if they drop below 75%, 50%, 25% or at 0% alng with the auorepeat and manual function buttons.
cant say how many times I have needed to conserve my cap in a fight, so I decide to start it later, once my shields are lowered 50% and for one reason or another, the action just screws things up, either need to reload, or the button just takes its sweet time flashing, so you hit it again, then it shuts off and goes red...bah...anyhow, its one thing you could set in advance, and one less thing to worry about in a fight.
Oh yeah, and have the shield booster SHUT OFF once it hits 100%. just too frustrating to be at 100% and see your cap drain down to 5% in a moderatly easy fight.

No triggers...we're not trying to aid macroers.
If you don't notice your shields are 50% then its your own dam fault.

did I day I didnt notice my shields were at 50%? No, in fact I explicitly stated that I HAD noticed and was dealing with it, but the shield booster didnt come on the way it is supposed to!
No need for crappy smart ass remarks. If you dont like it, then just say so and why...I dont see how this would aid macroers, in fact I dont see why that has anything to do with it at all.

They should shut-off at 100% aye - but the rest of it is too close too macro-ing.
Put em on manual and you wont have the on/off problems... even with lag you can know when to hit the key... if ya cant tell me the recharge rate timer now - that's your problem.
(if ya see what i mean)

If it were set to come on at a certain point and then go off at 100%, it would cease to be a shield booster and just become a device which increased shield generation by a massive factor.
The manual activation and deactivation is one of the drawbacks of the item to balance out with the advantage is provides.
What you seek seems more like a device which increases shield regeneration at the cost of capacitor generation.

I would love to have it come on and when/if shields hit full turn off. But I think I can handle starting it up.

You may not want the booster to shut off because shields hit 100%. I've reflected on this point often, while receiving barrages of pirate cruiser missiles...
If shields are full and no one has you locked, perhaps.
But there are plenty of times when your shield happens to be 100% at the moment, because you just healed it up, and it's just about to get slammed again; I'd just as soon the booster stay on in such circumstances.
If it's an easy fight, then you have plenty of time and attention to spare to manually fiddling with the booster.
