I'm not sure if i shoudl post this here or in the ships, i figured i'd do this here first. I'm looking for a good ship for pirating, one that has enough firepower (or can have enough for that matter) to take out almost if not all ships. My requirements are that it won;t take me months to get (so no BS) I just want a good medium ship. I'm currently in a rifter which is good for small prey but if they try... any ship will do, as i can train for it, just want some ideas. Thanks.

BB, thorax, rupture maybe.... you flying solo, you going to be hitting miners in belts? you gate camping? long hunters? going to try to solo bigger stuff? (always fun to do).

hunting players. i want to be able to attack ships larger and smaller. just want a general idea of what ship i shoudl set as a goal in getting. I want to solo and group kill. I was thinking of working towards a battle cruiser, but a good cruiser will work too.

so you more or less want to be able to do everything in 1 ship...  not gonna happen really, but id say maybe give a bb a try at least, they have alot of mid slots so you can fit alot of ew and what not, hold folks for ransom, etc, not exactly the storngest ship around but you could take on a bs, though breaking through there tank may be a bit hard. a pair of thoraxes works wonders.. ask Jex and Fist there masters of them... there is no "gameover i win" ship or setup but a bb is cheap and a good place to start i geuss, you shouldnt have any trouble taking out minig barges at the least hehe. I say give the Blackbird a shot to start with its pretty cheap, you need ew and missle skills for sure (hvy missles) but most the ew skills should be kept low for fast cycle time anyways so you only need level 1 in each of them really get some multi specs, some dampners, webs, warp jammers and have a go, should be able to easily fit one out for 5m i think, been a while since i last cared about how much they cost realy. you probably will die, you probably will kill some people, just dont expect to jump into a fight if its your first time and be a god for lack of better word. hope that helps a bit.
edit: oh and dont take this to mean you HAVE to use any paticular ship, just a suggestion.

that is exactly what i wanted. i actually kinda wanted a general feel for what class is good. so i'll keep orking towards a curiser. ty
