CCP will be attending Gamescom 2010 in Cologne from Thursday, August 19 to Sunday, August 22. During this time we will have a booth at stand A-D21, which is located between the entrances of 9-1f and 9-2f at the venue. Members of CCP including Customer Support and Community are attending and we will have wireless internet available so that players can change skills or show off their characters. We would also love you to bring your friends and introduce them to EVE Online or take advantage of our meeting room if you wish to organize a meeting to talk to us about your experiences within EVE or simply have a player gathering with your corporation or alliance mates.
To organize a meeting simply submit a petition under ôCommunityö, ôOtherö with the title ôGamescom 2010 meeting roomö and we will be happy to allocate a time for you to come and see us or arrange for the room to be available for your corporation, alliance or group of friends.. Please ensure that your petition states what day you would like to come, the number of people attending and the duration. Duration should last no longer than 1 hour and the meeting room will seat eight people in total with standing room for approximately four more.
If you have any further questions then please ask in this thread and I will be happy to answer them for you.

Originally by: CopyCatz I still would like to know if there's gonna be store items for sale, but I guess CCP Navigator found other duties besides answering questions here :(
Quite untrue but I am sending mails to people in the know to find out answers to some questions in this thread. I hope to do an update on a lot of questions later this week

Hey guys,
One or two updates for your consideration.
1, HR will be in attendance at GDC Europe but not at Gamescom. I have been talking with our recruiters and they will be briefing me on what sort of information I am to take from prospective future employees so you can definitely come and see me at the booth and I can give you some information and take your info to pass on to HR.
2, EVE Store items. Unfortunately there will be no items from the EVE Store on sale.
I think that answers the most major questions. If you have anymore, please ask, or see the OP for details on how to organize the room for your alliance, corporation or friends

Just another quick update:
Human Resources will be available all the time during the GDC if you have a pass for that event. HR is also going to be available during the first day of Gamescom on Thursday, August 19. After that, all enquiries regarding HR can be made at the booth at Gamescom. We will be happy to take any information and pass it on to the HR recruiters so please come by and see us

I must assume the promise of passing such data along is as reliable as "please ask in this thread and I will be happy to answer"?

No. Obviously not worth the effort. Enjoy your trip to Germany nevertheless.
Hello Lederstrumph,
I apologize for my late reply but bug reports need to be submitted electronically so that there is a paper trail that people can follow.
I am sorry that you do not deem it worthy to come to the booth but many players have come by already to talk to us, pick up swag, meet in the meeting room or change skills. Those same players have had time to ask us questions, talk to us about their time in EVE, their experiences on the server and what they enjoy doing.
So, I hope you also have a great time at Gamescom (if you are going) and I wish you all the best
