I was hoping that this would be in the expansion but it wasn't,
The ability to upgrade a system so that it will spawn a hidden ice belt that has all the different racial ice types in it.

I dont know much about ice mining, but maybe alongside this spawnable 'every racial ice type' belt, there could be a feature that automaticly mined and delivered this ice to your aliiance on a big silver plate!

Well it makes sense. they have given you the ability to have all of the ore types in any system. why can't they do the same for ice?

CCP said that there would be numerous more ihub upgrades that we could install that would give us all sorts of things. That the Dominion list was just the beginning. I have yet to see anything that would indicate they're planning to expand upon existing upgrades though.
Would you want hidden ice fields to be permanent and infinite, temporary (shifting location every 4 days) but infinite, or temporary and finite?

It wouldn't matter so long as we can mine the different types of ice. As it is it is a logistical nightmare to fuel capital ships and pos towers that are not of the race of your region. And this would help immensely much as it was a logistical nightmare before to build ships without having access to arkonor and bistot and what not.
