WTF. We have been paying with e-check through pay-by-cash forever. You give us no other options CCP to pay by e-check. You know credit cards are evil. I guess if a bug ridden games does not drive us away, then killing our ability to pay a subscription fee via e-check sure will. You wants my stuff? I need to find a new MMO which takes e-check payment. No more e-check via pay-by-cash after August 31st.

Go to the corner market and get a reloadable credit card. You can't begger yourself with debt if you are the one supplying the money to use on it. Unless of course you are one of the poor souls who live in the rare country that doesn't offer them.

Bummer. But ask yourself why would CCP pull out of endorsing a merchanting service for EVE that people are actually using? That'd be pretty daft right? If for whatever reason CCP aren't getting enough of that sub or (as so often happens) third party is taking the pee pee, its the only option. What would you do?
You can use a debit card no? I pay by debit card myself and get stung for foreign currency rates that blow and foreign currency transaction fees that make the cost of playing EVE for me almost twice as much as for those paying in USD. Such is life!

Debit Cards are basically a Credit Card gentlemen. Debit card is linked to a checking account. If the debit card number and check is stolen, then poof does the checking balance.
I can pay my telephone, cable, ISP provider, and just about everything else in life via e-check. Why not Eve?
But hey e-check take me 30 seconds to do. Driving to the market to get a prepaid debit card and then waiting 24-hours to activate. And another day or so to get it linked to paypal. What a complex mess to deal with. Who wanted my stuff again?

If you're that paranoid about credit/debit cards you should live in a bomb shelter and be off the internet.

To the unilluminated that forget that not all the world uses USD or euros. On most coutnries you cannot buy things in foreign currency with debit cards, only credit cards. That because the currency conversion must be audited by the central bank in most countries.
So prepaid debit cards are HARDLY an option for a LOT of people.

You'll find that this is quite common outside the USA...

The simplest thing to do is open a new bank account in abnk where you have no other accounts. Only put a few hundred dollars in it. Use a debit card from that account for your online commerce.
Its what I do.

Normally I'd suggest a few alternatives I know of from living abroad, myself. However, with the game and CCP in the state they're in, I say good luck to you and enjoy wherever you end up.

Check this out: Serbia (if you really know where it is without googling it ), town of 100,000 ppl and 37 BANKS!!! 90% of them are offering reloadable credit cards
Anyway, try finding a GTC retailer that supports your method of payment if you really can't switch to any other method listed in the account management. The list of GTC retailers: https://secure.eveonline.com/etc.aspx?aid=1337. Since I haven't used them, I'll let others recommend a reliable one.

Pirates of the burning sea allows e-check.
EVE-online allows paying by Paypal, which i am pretty sure takes e-check. __________________________

Yes! Not many people know credit cards are in fact an evil machine race from Neptune, hell bent on destroying humankind by forcing them to buy things they cannot afford.
Seriously, though, learn some restraint.

Where I live, credit cards require a minimum monthly charge. I do not like.
But it's true, it's hard paying stuff on the internet without credit card.

Debit cards are not recommended for use with online purchases, etc. In the event your debit information gets stolen, the money in your account is likely gone. This puts you in a situation where you have to recover it (next to impossible)
With credit cards, there's often more measures in place to prevent this kind of thing, but most importantly (in the United States) you can not be held liable for more than $50 of false charges.
Does kind of suck if your card has a fee though, often here you don't pay anything as long as you're not floating a balance.
