nope species and others... ill get some good players on to confirm that a 5.7 mod on 800s take down a raven that is fully tanked... while am saying tanked, im not saying, "he knows what ammo ur using kinda tanked, or doubles up resistance, no WD or something, am saying a tanked PVP setup.
give me a few and sort it..

I dunno Darth....I don't know how it's possible. I can't see how the extra dmg mods would make all that much difference. If any wants, I can show you the dmg I did over a period of time from my game logs from last nites fight. Same as before low of 27.+ to high of 76.+. Even with her emp resists on, unless you are actually able to ***** the shield, I don't see how you will be able to severely dmg a Raven.
If you are able to penetrate through the shields, the Raven still has another 10 000 of armour and hull left to fire missles/torps at you, and you still have to come out of it alive.
I would be extremely interested if you find something out and are able to post.
The other curious thing I am interested in is taking the Nos's into account. If I fit two large, I practically lose about a 100 pts of dmg per every round shot of the remaining 4. Will the 4 remaining have the firepower to ***** the tank and seriously inflict dmg all the while still taking dmg from the Raven's missiles/torps.
I would love to take this character out, but man, would be nice to see some layouts.

ah yes you need a cpu II and some arbs/malkuths. My minmatar account is freezed atm so I couldn't check that on the fly. my mistake ;)
all you need is some slud to scramble heheh

ur damage is way too low... on hardened shields im into 100s + pretty much all the time ... as long as ma enemy isnt doublein up hardeners...
what u have to ask yerslef is, could u go 1v1 with a gankageddon in ur raven?... well ma tempest is doing gankageddon damage while haveing DEFENCE also..
for the record over 7 mill gunnery, large autocannon specialisation lvl 4, with tec 2 800s.

Well in a 1v1 situation if the Raven doesn't have a scrambler and web you can warp/mwd away anyhow 
If it does have scrambler and web fitted the Raven only has 4 mids left for shield tanking so a bit gimped meaning it has to drop either a shield boost amp or heavy cap booster....So if using an armor tank/autocannon/nos/heavy cap booster you should be able to beat it or at least able to not lose...
Edit :When tested with a mate of simular skills it was a draw with both basically out of cap and down to structure BUT he didn't have web or scrambler whereas i had both fitted on my Tempest as if in real situation and would have won if he had them modules fitted...

Well..I am flummoxed then. Only thing you have on me atm is the specialization large trained, and I will be there over the next couple of days. I am using generic run of the mill 800's and that is the low/high limits dmg I got that day.
Well..any additional help on kitting an short range tempest would be appreciated.

1x Rocket Launcher - Defenders.

1 Quad Lif AB
1 Tracking Computer II

(this is going to be fuzzy as I keep changing it about)

I will take a look at some of the other ones previously posted to take a look at it again.

No MrMorph it doesn't **** up your shields by 25%. It also does not **** up your cap recharge rate because you use a Cap Injector anyway.

A While back a guy posted a setup that invloved Large Smartbombs. So i tested it.
youll need good power skills but basically fire 1 smart bomb then fire 2nd 2 secs later on auto repeat, 85% of his missles never even get to you. caps stays ok and you still have 2 slots to throw missles back at him. get in close for an extra special kill with ya 800s.
But i still must say they have spoiled the Temp, i loved that ship, but get good with it now and imagine what youll be like when it comes alive again.

well coudl you use 3 medium slots to ew the scorp? You coudl use sensor dampners, or two specfic caldari and one multi. So you could use the ecm's agaisnt the raven and also against any other ship with 8 or less sensor strenth (frigates).
