Finding the main would be quite difficult, and likely would cost more than was scammed.
I'll look into it, but no promises. |

Well I don't think you can find this guy on your own, or with the "help" you think you are getting. Really, for all you know the scam artist has posted in this thread and is laughing at you right now. A grown man blindly defend the e-honor of a boy who had to learn a life lesson about trust from a computer game. Best thing you could probably do is have a stern talking with him about getting in over his head, not studying enough, and not listening to good advice. But look on the bright side, at least you can buy him an intelligence implant, well in game of course. |

Yeah, that's pretty much impossible to figure out even for the CEO of a corp that can do wallet monitoring, and even then it requires them to be incredibly stupid.
So, no, all you're going to get for your efforts is mocked on the forums. Sorry. |

Ask yourself how much more its worth losing. Would you like to use this as a teaching moment for your son about being cautious or would you prefer to lose millions more trying to teach someone a lesson? If you're determined to extract revenge, drop me an EVEmail and I'll look into it for you. |

Don't assume the scammer has not left enough trails if you haven't looked.
As per the scammer reading this forums... I have no doubt. He has posted on the forums before. Worst case scenario, the scammer himself offer scammer-busting services to the OP and OP falls for it. OP be cautious in that area. "This is the Ninja. He will scan you down; he will salvage your wrecks and there shall be no aggro" ~ The Story of the Ninja |

My son learned from this.
But this is more of hunting down someone because i can.
Do i think the scamer has read this post hell yes i think he has. Has he posted he could have for all i know. But he now knows iam hunting for info leading to him.
Some seem to think this is about "e-honor" of getting back because he pulled a fast one on my kid well that a small part mostly its for the fact i wanted something more to do.
Now if the scamers main has read this will he have the balls to say its him unlikely. Hell anyone could stay its them but the scamer know how to show its him.
Plus this show if players work together scamers main's cant hide behind alts in npc corps. most hate scamers so ill take a shot at makeing one's main game time a living hell. |

I support the OP 100%. Alt busting is a very entertaining game-play. I've been involved in some operations in the past. One was an industrialist who kept operations running while war-deced by using 12 alts. All 12 alts got busted in 3 months and one of his haulers got ganked with 2B in cargo.
Sometimes you never find the alts, but it is entertaining non the less. And the more you play the alt-busting game, the more you learn and the better you get at it. At the very least, you get very good at creating alts that will never be linked back to you. "This is the Ninja. Stalking people across EVE, repeatedly attacking/killing them is fine. You have to go damn extreme for it to be considered harrassment. Look at many of the alliance fights, plenty of them being grudges that's been around for five-ten years, they just keep attacking same guys repeatedly because they feel like it. Plenty of mercs have and has had 'denial of service' (blocking stations, trade routes, highsec, stalking etc) as part of what they offer. Short answer; no, it's not cyberbullying.
Alot of people misunderstand this part, they think "harrassment" means "people that annoy me". Tho, you have plenty of tools at disposal: ignore list (won't see their typing/convo), you can fight back/kill them, in highsec they either have to suicide gank (consequences) or wardec you (you can fight back), etc. It takes quite alot for this to ever be an issue that GM's get involved in. shiptoastin' liek a baws |
