Really... Its not like T3 / Faction BS are unheard of anyways in PvP. Hell, most the last northern burn campaign I spent in my T2 Rigged A/B-type fit Navythron.
Coming from someone who has seen both sides of almost every type of conflict from 0.0, FW, to empire war decs-- WH is by far both the most irritating and at the same time rewarding combat EVE has to offer. Don't glaze over the environment. No local, system-wide anomalies that change your ship stats, mass restrictions on WHs along with the mechanics of collapsing WHs. Its a ***** even when you know what you are doing-- let alone when you come in thinking its just 0.0 without local.
What I've learned is that the truth of the matter is that people accustomed to living in WHs are paranoid to an almost unhuman/its-not-a-game-anymore level. Actions are not willy nilly-- even more so than 0.0 actions. Scouts practically everywhere are just the beginning.
As far as corp theft... the very mechanics of WHs, along with even half-way diligent proper use of roles pretty much makes any "big hauls" impossible. Sure, you could wiggle into a wh corp, put in 6 or 8 months of dedication for what? Stealing some t1 cruisers and haulers? I guess you *could* get lucky and find a T2 fit battlecruiser in one of the hangers. woot! Next stop is the bank! A heist in WH space isn't a "drag and drop" action like it is elsewhere. If you ever thought how much of a hassle it is getting a stolen cap fleet outta an (even NPC-owned) outpost in 0.0 you haven't even scratched the surface of the logistics nightmare that would be getting your "grab" to kspace from a high class (read:4+) wh. If you are lucky, you might have an 0.0 exit into some random pocket of 0.0. Even then, you mass limited so choose wisely. Its these same mechanics that innately harden the defensive posture since you can't "blob" a WH with your FOTM fleets.
Stepping back-- wh entities do make pretty good isk as per member time and effort, but it is not that the corp/alliance holds some magic isk-tree that they harvest. The amount of isk they make is directly related to the amount of effort they put in. In essence-- you can disrupt them, but you can't really "take" over their isk-stream directly. It would be akin to saying "we are gonna take out that mission-running corp for their isk". Now an 0.0 entity that holds outposts, moon goo, thats a different story.
