WoW - Immature Zoo-Land, getting dumber and dumber with each new expansion. And I mean REALLY dumber.
Lord of the Rings Online - a shiny example how one of the corner stones of literature, one of the masterpieces of the human genius can be totally trashed by bad marketing, management and game design. A single-player with a Guild Chat. Not a MMORPG.
Age of Conan - I won't even start pointing obvious bugs, exploits, cheating, etc.
Star Trek Online - see the LOTRO paragraph. A massive fail... A really MASSIVE one, done in not enough time just so Cryptic can meet a 2 years deadline, so they can receive a bonus from Atari.

Try other MMOs, really, it's you choice. Only then you will realize what is the difference between the "broken" EVE and its competitors.

How much depth BF 1943 has? How much brilliant ideas does it have implemented? Can it keep you in front of your screen for freakin years? Does it actually take brains to play BF 1943? Does it make you almost crap your pants when you go to PvP?

I've been following eve since 2003 and I've loved this game and have always recommended it to people I know. Beeing an Icelander I automatically wanted CCP to do well. I've played a LOT of other games, maybe CCP are worse than the other gaming companies and maybe not. That isn't whats being whined about.
We aren't comparing CCP to other companies, we're comparing CCP now to what CCP used to be. You used to be able to convo devs ingame and chat it up, CCP actually did care about the players once. Now they've become so greedy that they are at BEST on par with other companies while they used to be number one by far.
