While I'm not as unhappy with the game as many of the posters here, I can still sympathize with them. Over all, the many broken things in EVE don't greatly affect me and what I do, but I'm honestly not happy with CCP and the fact they are largely ignoring the player bases requests.
I remember dealing with black screen lag and losing pods and ships because of 30 vs 30 engagements back in FW, back when FW suffered from almost the same issues that 00 does today. For this reason, I know exactly what the players there are going through and I will give the unhappy players my support rather than a vote for EVE.
CCP put a decent amount of effort in fixing the lag issues for FW and they in fact did fix it. It saddens me that a issue like this has gone on so long out in null sec, as it wasn't something that just popped up from the last expansion but rather the one before.
The fact that this issue has not been made top priority long ago and fixed many months ago, shows that CCP is not interested in fixing the game, but rather more interested in chasing new 2 week trials conversions.
Null sec lag, is just one of a long list of broken things and features left ignored however it's likely the most pressing at the moment. I personally can not show support for a game company that ignores it's existing paying customers and looks at them as a lower priority vs getting new two week trial conversions.
For this reason I can't vote for EVE Online, as I believe it's better to show CCP that they need to rethink their direction and re-embrace the player base.
EVE is a great game and CCP has a lot to be proud of for what they have done. However, the current issue at hand is that CCP has lost the direction in which they found their success in the MMO world. Maybe this topic and the players backlash, will help steer them back on the right direction. CCP needs to understand that it's not just new players that create future success but also their existing ones.
Show us that you care about your existing paying customer base and start fixing the many broken things in EVE and we will show you are support as well.
