I, for one, will not be voting for EVE Online to receive any type of award until the majority of the base concerns are addressed within EVE Online.
Until management and shareholders of CCP Games understand that they are moving too fast into new markets that they have not experience being in (First Person MMOs and shooters) nothing will be fixed. With the current development schedule they have, as I understand it, they intend to roll out Incarna within the year and then roll out DUST514 after that. This is WAY too fast and they need to tone down the pace a bit or they will have a failed product on their hands. (I point to Star Trek Online when it first came out as an example) We live in an age where the consumer is well informed. If a product is a good one, the consumers will rally more people to subscribe to it. (I point to Amazons kindle as an example) I believe that CCP needs to subscribe to a long term philosophy instead of satisfying shareholder wants if they want to continue their image of a consumer friendly company.
What I would like to see is CCP Games stepping back a little and providing support for their current subscribers while passively developing their Incarna expansion. Personally I think the deadline set for Incarna is inappropriate now that new Lag issues have appeared and ongoing balance and Game play issues have built up over the years. These need to be addressed before moving forward.
Historically, CCP has 2 expansions per year (one in summer and winter). I think that it is about time that CCP sets aside one expansions for game improvements (UI tweaks/redesigns, Game balancing, Game mechanic changes, and Core code rebuilds) and have the other expansion set aside for new content (Incarna, PI, Ships, New Functions/Additions, World/Game shaping changes) I think this will bode well for both CCP Games, as a company, its employees, and its costumers as it will give a since of consistency and stability to all parties involved.

CCP is a private company - perhaps they are going for an IPO ...

I wonder if they paid their investors off yet? Or if they have any new investors? Would explain the growth spurt at CCP games in recent years!
