I have never had problems to play WOW whit 40-80 people at one place and control my character, and also enjoy the whole thing.
I`am sorry but you just dont deserve to get an award!

more than 100k toons (111k to be more accurate)r in 0.0 SOV holding alliances, let's say 1/2 are alts(or incative/whatever) that makes 50k toons, now consider most of 0.0 players have at leat 1 or 2 (if not more) empire alts, which rarely r on the same main 0.0 account, but for the sake of discussion i'll just consider those 50k acc.unts,
is that the majority of EVE? nope, is that a decent amount of people to take into consideration? yes given EVE is not WOW (thanks God tbh)

ok after this nonsense i typed, the point is:
1- EVE is a good game
2- EVE has a lot of bugs/unpolished content/etc
3- other games suck (well theones i've tried), so will get no vote from me
4- EVE will get no vote from me either, i like my socket based dinner to be clean ^_^
5- you (the ones complaining about this thread)are absolutely free to make your own choice, but people in this thread r not talkin with you, we'r talkin with CCP, so let them "defend" their position themselves

Yes, some things should be fixed, but the same is true for every other game that's up for votes. No game is perfect!
Also, think about it: You whine so much about the game because you care about it! If the game really was that bad, you'd probably have stopped playing by now. But you're not stopping, are you? Is the game really that bad then? Does it not deserve your vote? How long have you played other games? Probably for a much shorter time than EVE. So are they better games? I doubt it.

so thumbs up for CCP fixing the game and earning our votes again, times has changed CCP its now your turn to prove to us that you really do care as you have been claiming for years now.
2 of 4 subscriptions cancelld, the other 2 are on gtc,s depending on how CCP handles stuff the next months will decide if any of them gets renew'd

That would go to anything SOE advertised.
But CCP is clearly walking their path. They clearly are taking our money and spending it on things that aren't for us (Dust514), things we'd rather have our game fixed before they are done (Incarna), or things that are nothing more than fluff (Eve Gate).
CCP thought they were doing damage control with the post detailing their team distribution and numbers, but instead they showed us the extent to which they ignore us.
Well, now they are trying damage control, claiming in an article that fixing the server problems and getting us back to 1,000 ship fleet battles is "priority one". Which is good, don't get me wrong, but why did it taking us unloading on them for a day and a half to get this moved up 18 months?

I like Eve, but I won't vote for it.
1) I don't like the idea of register to vote
2) CCP needs to fix a lot of annoying stuff in EVE before even dare to ask users to vote. We are already paying. It's CCP turn to give us what we need instead of the perma-nerfing policy.
3) Make a pool and ASK players about what they NEED or WANT, before asking silly things like votes. You will be making millions and I won't.

CCP, I'll make this as plain as I can. I love eVe, the universe you've created, the freeform interaction (yes even the non-concentual PvP), the fact that I can do what I want where I want to do it.
I want to continue loving eVe and have no intention of unsubbing or any of that non-sense...I will...must however, add my voice to those that feel ingored, and unappraciated as a customer and a part of (no matter how small) the income that you enjoy as a company and service provider...
1)I look forward to Incarna...IF its done right.
2)I'll even tolerate DUST 514...IF its done right.
I'll admit, I didn't vote for eVe:Tyrannis due to the fact that the last 2 exspansions have broken far more things than they offered as content...and added a few more broken things as a bonus.
Please, for the sake of the community that has grown around this universe you've created...listen to your players/customers.
The anger that the players are expressing is based on what we all know eVe was, should be, and can evolve into.
Most of it isn't because your player base hates you...it because we love eVe and want it to become the best, longest lived MMO in the world...of all time.

Ultimately Eve online is in my opinion the BEST MMORPG out there, however... the latency in fleet fights and the effects of the load on the servers across the other systems on the same node are totally unacceptable. A number of good friends in Eve have lost ships, been scammed as a result of lag yet CCP refuse to refund them their losses. Had this been any other game where you just respawn with no RL time or financial implications then thats a fair one. However, Not being able to conduct any real fleet warfare, trade safely, plex or rat due to latency is a serious issue. Further more shoudl a fleet battle not be going your way why not just flood the sys with drones and more pilots? no one can win :D... this is in my opinion also an exploit and anyone who looses their ships as a result of this should also have them restored (rubber banding, unable to cycle weapons etc etc means the players no longer have control).. its so bad that even PI (which supposedly had no extra load on the servers apparently) in some systems has been blocked due to recently large fleets passing through (take a look at the planets in h-w).. so, it looks like pretty much every element of eve is in some way faulty at the moment (jita limited to 1400 +/- pilots? how are the massive pvp fleets supposed to cope if the core trade sys in eve cant support more than 1500 pilots?)... anyhow, I am goign to stick with eve for another couple of months, if its still as bad in two months from now i'll cancel my subscriptions and find something else... i believe jumpgate is out soon

Its a shame that the players seem to put more effort into the game than CCP do. When that changes I might vote.
PS if you want people to believe spin like "CCP: Fixing Eve Online lag is 'No.1 priority'", try getting someone senior in CCP to post it on the eve-o site.

I have spent alot of time, money and effort on this game to have it messed up 4 years down the line. if potential customers read the truth it might sort things out... they might have a pr firm but they also have a few thousand upset customers with browsers and the ability to post as well.
