A few years ago I would have voted multiple times for EVE. I won't vote for it now. I thought I was one of the few people who has just about had it with this game.
I have never played another MMO besides EVE. Not a single one.
My subscriptions are up for renewal again and I am going to take a hiatus from EVE. See you all again in a year maybe. Going to try some other MMO's.

You don't seem to get it. We whine because we LOVE Eve even though it's buggy a **** and many things don't work as intended or are just plain ******ed (Ever tried to move bookmarks from a hangar?) and even tho CCP doesn't seem to give two ****s what the playerbase wants. We whine because we want bugs fixed that have been around for years. We whine because we want the customer support we pay for. We whine because we want our game to be good because it's a sound, well thought out game and not because we have some weird sense of nostalgia as to how it was in "the old days".
We are the people that bring eve forward, you however are encouraging CCP to run things just the way they are running things right now. In conclusion, you are the guy that is killing eve.

Let me give you a head start, my friend.
WoW - Immature Zoo-Land, getting dumber and dumber with each new expansion. And I mean REALLY dumber.
Lord of the Rings Online - a shiny example how one of the corner stones of literature, one of the masterpieces of the human genius can be totally trashed by bad marketing, management and game design. A single-player with a Guild Chat. Not a MMORPG.
Age of Conan - I won't even start pointing obvious bugs, exploits, cheating, etc.
Star Trek Online - see the LOTRO paragraph. A massive fail... A really MASSIVE one, done in not enough time just so Cryptic can meet a 2 years deadline, so they can receive a bonus from Atari.
Should I continue?
But, hey...
Try other MMOs, really, it's you choice. Only then you will realize what is the difference between the "broken" EVE and its competitors.
Don't say I didn't warn you, my friend.
And that goes for all the emo ****heads that "won't vote for EVE".
Voting for BF 1943 to "punish" the "Corporate CCP swines who screw us"?
Seriously?
How much depth BF 1943 has? How much brilliant ideas does it have implemented? Can it keep you in front of your screen for freakin years? Does it actually take brains to play BF 1943? Does it make you almost crap your pants when you go to PvP?
I thought so.

Two days ago i was in C-J but could only see a black screen for 30 minutes.
Yesterday I almost killed an alliance buddy that undocked in a bomber and appeared neutral to me.
Yesterday i was in LVL killing SBUs, yet hostiles magically got sov there today for some reason.
When you fix the game instead of adding stupid and buggy ****, ask for votes.

I agree EVE is a great game at the core. A great game that is getting worse, and worse over time, instead of better. MORPGs in general suck, and I wouldn't play any other regardless if eve existed or not, but comparing well formed slightly hardened $hit to smelly liquid $hit isn't an argument to why $hit should win best game. If they put an older release up there, I might have voted for that. CCP could have saved a lot of isk and fired all of the developers a year ago with the result of having a better game today, and that's just sad.
P.S. Get rid of SCRUM. It's not working for you.

Nice of you to rant here and call everyone maggots for not loving CCP on an alt.
I've been following eve since 2003 and I've loved this game and have always recommended it to people I know. Beeing an Icelander I automatically wanted CCP to do well. I've played a LOT of other games, maybe CCP are worse than the other gaming companies and maybe not. That isn't whats being whined about.
We aren't comparing CCP to other companies, we're comparing CCP now to what CCP used to be. You used to be able to convo devs ingame and chat it up, CCP actually did care about the players once. Now they've become so greedy that they are at BEST on par with other companies while they used to be number one by far.

You missed the only thing that matters when trying other MMOs "Am I having fun playing this?"
If, when people log into eve, the answer isnt yes, then they should speak up on the issues they find.
My quick opinions of other mmos:
WoW: Used to be great, now is the manufactured boyband of MMOs LOTRO: Fun game to run around in, the world lacks something though (Not to say I dont like it, as I keep resubbing) AoC: Again, awesome looking game, best new player area ever (imo), after that, the world feels a bit meh...the guild cities thing is great though (also keep resubbing) Warhammer: Great little game for hopping in and out of, not serious, hop in, melt some faces, hop out again (yup, keep resubbing) Eve: Great potential, can be extremely in depth, although this is mixed with frustrations about ongoing problems (Yes, this one I keep resubbing to as well) Latest comments / impressions from CCP indicate they are moving towards an SoE / Blizzard ideology, and away from taking note (In my opinion only ofc)
Bottom line is, if you arent having fun, you have two options, a) leave without raising your concerns b) raise your concerns, see if others have them too, then either hang about in the hope they get fixed, or take a break til they get fixed.

Lol. So NOW it's your "number 1 priority" and the team dedicated to it has "carte blanche"? And since when is that, because the CSM minutes don't seem to reflect that. Zulu's attempt at damage control and all the technical posts by Explorer and others merely said "yes we are dealing with it".

Pages and pages of people are ripping the other games out there to show that they aren't better--stop it. No kidding there isn't anything better out there, this isn't a news flash and you're not some kind of internet mecca for unveiling this hidden truth. What I hope CCP understands is that this game is broken and needs a freaking lifeline. If alliances are unable to battle on a large scale then WHAT IS THE FREAKING POINT?
