I know a lot of people have been making the Typhoon a close range ship. Do you think it would be better making it a long range ship? If you look at the Atributes of the ship, you get 10% Range instead of Damage to Turrets.

Edited by: *****en on 20/12/2004 15:31:13 the extended range brings ships into your autocannons optimal earlier meaning if you fit it right you can stay out of warp disruptor range.

that thing is just made for Nosferatu's :) It's own cap is pretty bad so you need the extra cap. You can kill an apoc in this setup, regardless of his tank. Only problem is that it takes a while and he shouldn get backup.
High: 4x Cruise Launchers 4x Heavy Nosferatu
Medium: 1x MWD 1x 7,5 Warpscrambler 1x Webber 1x Cap Recharger
Low: Decent armor tank, cap relays, go nuts
Artilleries are not really a viable option in their current state, so the optimal range isnt really used (10% at 2KM from autocannons, is still pretty low ) ----------------------------------------------- Watch my leet everchanging dynamic signature \o/ http://www.games-on.nl/~cu2moro/evesigphp/icon.php?blaat=.GIF |

A fine looking setup...BUT there is one thing. The afterburners were boosted up recently so they can actually be useful. In my scorp I tried out a t2 100mn ab and my speed was about 350m/s. Which is more than enough to overcome the speed of an apoc who's trying to slowly get out of scrambling range. Personally I'd use an afterburner and use the extra powergrid to have siege launchers instead of cruise
I'm quite a fan of the typhoon (even tho it looks like a broken trashcan) and I intend to train for using it, but not use projectile guns on it (they r teh suxeh ) --------------------------------------

No need to fit 4 x nosferatu instead, swap 1 for a Large Energy Neutralizer, preferably named. Its cycle is 24 seconds, twice the time of nosferatus, so by the time ur Neut cycle is complete you will have sucked 600 cap, and spend like 400 on the neut, giving you a 200 gain and the other a total -1100 cap (over 24 seconds tho). Its a very nice capkiller, and with 4 siege launchers it can beat any tank setup there is (as long as you dont die yourself )
