I've starting using this trick to give out presents & goodies to some friends i've got in Eve, with the tremedous response i've had so far i thought i should communicate this at large.
1)Find a gift worth giving, anything's good, could be a memorable piece of Trit, some nice ship equipement or a ottle of spirit 
2)Place the stuff from step 1 in escrow for 1 days, set it up for one of your alt. Don't pick up the escrow, make it expire. You'll thus get a nifty Box in which your gift is now "wrapped".
3)Take the Escrow box obtained in step 2 and rename it to whatever you like, find some amusing note!
Then your free to give this gift out to your friend, it'll be impossible to put this up for escrow but can be traded or jettisonned at will

hmmm, i got a ship i have just bought for my brother... i will do that. thanks for the idea.

Wouldn't it be cool if CCP changed the escrow box icon during the holidays?
Perhaps a little bow on top, and some amusing wrapping paper (OMGWTFBBQ perhaps  )

Nice idea... but it's a lonely christmas for a pirate in the bleak lands... maybe someone woould like to cheer this poor old soul up this christmas season with a little ISK...
