Dear Pend Insurance Company,
I'm writing to thank you for the tritanium. Ever since I was a little kid growing up on Caldari Prime, I've wanted tritanium. It's such a pretty rock, all orange and everything. Orange is my favorite color. What's yours?
My blackbird was ugly, not at all like the unit of tritanium you so generously sent me when I lost it. One could say that what I lost in monetary value I gained in aesthetic value. I think I might have it made into a pendant. What do you think? Or would it be small enough to have it put in a ring? It would make a pretty ring, wouldn't it? I love how it catches the sunlight.
The cruiser was getting kind of boring, anyway. I always had to be thinking about modules, activating and deactivating them, flying around all over everywhere--my beloved tritanium does not require so much effort to appreciate. I can just sit and stare at it for hours, caress it, look at things through it. I sleep with it under my pillow. I could never do that with my blackbird.
Thank you again, Pend Insurance. If you ever need a 75mm gatling autocannon, don't hesitate to ask. I owe you one.

Hehe. I wonder why they give you a single unit of tritanium.. I think it's just to get you started while you save up to a new cruiser, perhaps. I mean, HEY! You can sell that and you'd be well on your way to a new cruiser, right?

If I were you Setec, I'd sent one Megacyte back with a smartbomb in the package. ---

Yeah, I noticed this too, what the heck is the point of insurance if all you get is a stupid velator upon death even if you had platinum coverage...

Hey Setec!
That post was hillarious! Since I've decided to quit this game, I figured you're worthy to "have my stuff", so please take those petty 4.8 mil ISK I transfered in your direction. I know it's not much, but it'll help you in the right direction when it comes to getting another cruiser and there's no reason for the money to collect dust in my account.
Have fun and keep doing what you're doing...

Setec, you never fail to amaze or amuse me. I hope you post some more pirate chat logs for us to read during the endless travelling. ---------------- Killing Amarr Scum & Liberating Slaves Since Birth |

My corp was setting up to camp a gate (no cargo container lag btw) outside empire space on a route back from some places where people farm valuable stuff. 4 of us (3 bbirds 1 moa) warped into the system we were going to camp and I took an unannounced AFK for a couple minutes at a planet while the others went to the gate. Pretty quickly a cruiser warped up, and they locked him down. Then his friend warped up, then they locked him down, and then I got back from AFK and warped in alongside 3 more cruiser friends of the first 2. It erupted into a big firefight, and we were mostly in light-armored EW ships half-loaded with propulsion jamming stuff so we weren't at all prepared to handle more than our number of combat-ready NPC-hunting cruisers. Between that and the fact that I was the leader but started the encounter AFK, we had a bit of confusion and didn't handle things as smoothly as I would have liked. We lost 2 blackbirds and they, Dental Drilling Corporation, lost 1 rupture.
I had an exact module-by-module copy of my blackbird waiting in my hangar so it wasn't a monumental loss or anything... fun fight overall, really got the adrenaline going. :)
AND I got tritanium woohoo!
Edit -- Thank you for the donation Feilan!

You're most welcome Setec! It's always a pleasure to read about your pirate stories from the high seas... and I will still be reading them even though I've decided that SWG is more my cup of tea than EVE.
