TES Divine Prophecy II Captains Log Captain Archbishop, PIE, Commanding
Personal Log: This is the second of my lectures this semester to the Imperial War College senior class at the Imperial Academy on Sarum Prime. My first lecture HERE was very popular with the students and I was asked to return sooner then expected.
Lesson #002
The TES Divine Prophecy II finds its way into orbit around Sarum Prime again this week. Captain Archbishop of PIE has returned for another presentation to the Amarr War College class of seniors.
Down on the planet the twin spires of the Cathedral of Divine Education rise into the clear blue morning sky.

Walking thru the Promenade the PIE Captain and Justice of the Tribunal drew much attention. Students and instructors alike moved aside as the man in the imperial brown robe walked down the walkway with his four marine escorts and two personal assistants.
Pausing at the entryway of the grand Cathedral of Divine Instruction he lowered his hood and walked inside leaving the guards outside to patrol the grounds. He entered the grand cathedral and stared in awe, as he did everytime, at its magnificance.
Cathedral interior
The class was already in their seats. A whistle blew three times quickly and the entire class stood at attention, polished boots snapping the floor, as the man walked down the center aisle to the podium.

Turning to face the students he nodded and said "at ease please be seated". The class sat as one and paid rapt attention. The lesson last week about the Minmatar's society was fascinating and they hoped for an equally educatinal seminar this week as well.
"Greetings students. Today I will speak to you of the modern Minmatar. About the current state of the Minmatar Republic. While cave drawings are entertaining and indicative of their barbarity it is not the entire story".
"The Minmatar myth is one of deception and lies. They tell the stories of how their civilization was once great and prosperous. They tell lies of how we enslaved them for labor. We all know the truth though. They were primitive and we offered them God's holy light. They were lost before the Amarr showed them the way to true salvation."
"Their society was not the great empire they would have you believe. While they had some advanced technology this was mostly purchased or stolen from the other races. It is clear the Minmatar intelligence level was never high enough to support this level of civilization they claim."
A large screen rose up from the floor behind the podium and the man raised his hand to the screen.
"During our righteous enlightenment of these creatures before their ungrateful rebellion we had the opportunity to study their past records and acheivements. It is clear their accomplishments pale before our own."
A picture flashes up on the screen.
First Minmatar in space
"Here we have a picture of the first Minmatar in space. Clearly the primitive design of the spacecraft shows their lack of technologicial savy. While we Amarr were discovering and constructing jumpgates and travelling across the galaxy these quaint creatures were trying to explore their own solar system. Reports document the dozens of fatal crashes of these primitive spacecraft."

"But the Minmatar eventually did move into space. Not of their own accord though. Caldari and Gallante traders visited their world. The Minmatar took the opportunity presented to them and secretly stole plans for ships and drive systems. Clearly living off the good graces of others these beasts thought only of their own needs and primitive desires."
The man raised his hand and another picture appears on the screen.
Minmatar technological disaster
"This thing is the Minmatar Tempest Battleship. A poorly designed poorly armored flying scrapheap. The Tempest is normally constructed of spare parts and salvaged wrecked ships. Without a suitable power supply they rely on massive solar sails for propulsion."
The students look at the Tempest in disgust.
"Still this ship can be a dangerous advesary..... for it can be equipped with weapons from other races including those stolen from Amarr itself!" the man yelled as the students gasped in horror. The thought of a Minmatar warship using holy Amarrian weapons was an atrocity in itself.

The class looked reverently to the cross on the wall behind the podium. At just that moment the sun hit the stained class window on the east wall and shone a kalidescope of colors onto the cross. It was a incredibly beautiful.
"Our ships patrol to secure our way of life. The terrorist threat is ever at the door. These creatures no not peace and love but war and hatred. They refuse to accept our gift of enlightenment and instead seek to free their own into the myth of freedom. A myth that leads only to poverty and suffering and a life without purpose."
"WE MUST NOT FAIL!!!" the man yelled grabbing the staff he leaned against the counter and raising it above his head for effect. The class rose as one.
"AMARR VICTOR!!!!!!" the man yelled.
"AMARR VICTOR!!!!!!" the class replied.
Another picture appeared on the screen. A glorious golden Apocalypse battleship. Flagship of the Empire.
"This is your future. Do well and fight bravely and someday the command of a great warship could be yours. From the lowest frigate pilot to the greatest battleship captain we all fight for one thing. The glory of Amarr!".
The man lowered his voice and said in a calm and almost ominous tone...... "We do not fight for ourselves. We do not fight for individual honors. We fight for the glory of our race........ Never forget that."
The man walked from the podium and down the aisle. The class stood at attention as he exited the Cathedral. The atmosphere in the Cathedral was one of great inspiration. The class knew the evil they faced. They knew they could never let down their guard even for a second. They knew their very way of life depended on the sacred tasks they would perform.

"This enemy is cunning. This enemy is secretive. This enemy is treacherous. This enemy is relentless!" said the robed Captain slamming his fist down with each statement. "We can not sit by arrogantly and win this conflict! We must realize these creatures, however barbaric, are a formidable foe!".
The students were stunned. Never before had anyone spoken of the Minmatar Terrorists as a foe of any note. It had always been assumed they were just a nusiance.
"I am not saying they are our equals. Far from it. But they are dangerous none the less. Perhaps an even greater danager then these criminal terrorists is thinking they are nothing!".
"We must work hard to ensure their forces meet the same end this unfortunate Tempest did!"
A picture flashes on the screen. A fleet of golden Battleships pounds a Tempest to rubble in seconds. The explosion is as bright as a sun.
Death of a Tempest
The class cheered and yelled as the ship exploded on the screen.
"Yes this terrorist found enlightenment the hard way..." said the man with a smirk as a wave of laughter rose up from the class.
"Still our mission is never over. These Minmatar who would steal from us our very way of life and attack the word of God must be stopped at all costs. Our sacred duty is enlightenment and our Emperor has commanded us to carry out the word of God."

Quote: "I would prefer it if the out right truth were told to students so that they will not get a big head when they first reach the battlefield."
We do not get "big heads" Hartu. Rather I have warned the students of the real danger presented by these terrorists. Read the lesson again several times. You will see the real target is complacency. Do I not warn it is a greater danger to think of them as nothing? While I bring attention to the truth that their intellectual prowess will never match that of our race I also point out they are still dangerous. No I have not stroked the ego's of these young warroir rather I have shone them the true danger and why it must never be forgotten.
