Was wondering if any of you guys setup your cruisers and battle cruisers for speed after the MWD and AB nerf.
I know I still have my cruisers setup for speed was just curious if you guys did as well?

Well it was kinda easy to me... changed 100mn ab on my prophecy to 10mn ab and speed is now half of what it used to be but still enought in missions. It also ment that I have now Heavy Pulses rather than Medium Pulses so more firepower, Yarrr!  _______________________________________________ My opinions aren't my corporations opinions.

Well it was kinda easy to me... changed 100mn ab on my prophecy to 10mn ab and speed is now half of what it used to be but still enought in missions. I have 10MN AB II and Local Hull Conversion Overdrive Injector I fitted in my Ferox. Max speed is 484m/s.
FYI: MWD's were not nerfed in last patch. Instead nerfing they got some luv. No more shield penalty.

Got a nice Vagabond setup that can orbit at 2.2km/s at 10km. Unfortunately i went and got it blown up in a fleet op by behaving like an idiot

Call me a noob, i am
hmm i thought with the exodus changes missels wont miss. So instead of running out flighttime. So fakt is that you have to hold the speed for hole flighttime. But its even more, you have to fly direktly away from projectile. If you wont the missels will short the way and intercept you even if your faster, expecally if your orbiting.
The second point fastness bears an advantage is the chance to hit for bigger guns than youve equiped. so the thing is, if you wanna dance the flack out, you have to orbit close, to max effect. Now youll see that a light(S) gun will hit you, coz most pilots i know do have mp5. so youll have to close up coz you dont have engergy(cap) for shildrechargers etc. -> web and nothing left from your big advantage. in this case youve to hope that the ship you attack has eqiped ownly Heavy guns(L) no missels and no electronic (sounds like amar-BS ^^)In this case youll need a full cargo of amo and damn good skills.
So i think that great speed for Cruiser does sense in some very rare cases. The Stabber or the Caracal may be ... And by these setups the speed is no additional defence, like pre exodus, its just a taktical measure.
But wait, use your advanteged speed for bring some objekts (enemy ships,roids) in the missel los (line of sight). If your able to manage that over long time in big battel speed will be the ultimate weapon.

I just put a couple nano-fibers into my lows and my cruisers run as fast as they used to before. (maybe a little slower)
