Im glad CCP keeps banning account. Add those to the already fleeting masses because CCP doesn't give a rats ass about EVE for a year and a half minimum. Sure, you can believe what certain mouthpieces and their paid lobbyists say but uhhh, are we that gullible still?
Obligatory eve is dying. I already trashed my stuff sry.

They won't even let me update my Credit Card payment details on my account until 30 days are remaining which is stupid and impractical. Every other company I can update my payment details anytime. CCP love to trap players.
I just ran up against this as well - got new credit card and one account would update right away - the other won't let me update for another month. I petitioned it saying that was bizarre and I didn't want to run the risk of forgetting to do it a month from now, and I got a form letter response saying 'our payment system will only allow you to update details if less than 30 days of play-time remaining'. Derrrr I think I knew that since I was petitioning lol.

It's funny that the more important petitions, such as stuck issues, payment issues, performance issues et al can take weeks for a response but if I make a sly joke about Bulgarians I get a personalized Evemail from a GM within 60 seconds.
Go figure /o\

As someone who has never played an online game apart from eve, what exactly is meant by account sharing? Is it one account from two different IP addresses? (Can't imagine that it could be) or is it a character that is online 23/7 (you could of course just leave Eve permanently logged on if you want I suppose), or is constant activity from multiple differing global ip addresses?
Milla, thanks for the heads up on the credit card problems. I've heard that CCP is very, very reluctant to let go of any credit cards once they've got them, so when I cancel my accounts (will be cancelling one soon), I will cancel my credit card as well.

Here's a question, concerning 'sharing'...
Now, I've got a co-worker or two that I've suckered into the game. One of them is so computer clueless I'm surprised he can turn it on and log in, but anyway: Whenever something goes wrong he comes over to my place and I log in to his account to walk him through things he can't figure out (ship fittings, UI settings, password and billing stuff)... does that count as 'sharing' his account?
No one shares mine, to be sure, to sometimes if I'm at his house I log in to my own accounts with a copy of his client (so that my usernames are not saved to his primary client) to give him some tutorials. --- Dreamer: My dream, Freddy! MY RULES. Freddy Kruger: *groans* Awwwww, f**k. --- Never give up! |

Someone who is not the entitled owner or a minor child of the entitled owner logging into the account.

I think as long as he is present when you help him, it would not really count as a bannable offense.
