ive always loved the rokh its a sleek and good looking ship and tbh its the most HUMAN looking ship in the game but it is seriously lacking as front line war ship its only usefull for ither a sniper or a close in blaster ship but as the blaster range is pretty small and the ship is as slow **** its a basic fail. anyone have any thoughts on this ? it be cool to actualy talk this idear out and actualycome up with a concept for a tech pattern for this lovly ship

Yep, that you're completely clueless. My blaster Rokh shoots 40km. If you think the Rokh is so fail, try training your skills past 1 and doing some reading to have a vague idea how to fit it properly. _________________________________

Punctuation, proper capitalization, proper spelling, and not abusing "internet slang" will get you very far posting on these forums. English may not be everyone's first language in Eve, but only a primary user could abuse it like you just did.
Edit: Null Ammo is Tech 2 range ammo for Tech 2 blasters. It's pretty solid on most Gallente ships where you can nab some of that range you desperately need. It shines on Caldari ships with Optimal Range bonuses and a Tracking Enhancer - though really all it does is finally give blasters a chance to compete with the staple Amarr Mega Pulse + Scorch combo.

Soooo, you're a self confessed noob that didn't know what null ammo was, and you were trying to suggest changes/a new ship type? Riiiiight. _________________________________

I would strongly advise staying out of battleships until you have the skills/know how to use it properly.
If that's your main character - that time is a long way off. Stick with frigates and cruisers to learn in. _________________________________

If you couldn't be asked to open a productive discussion, why did you open one at all?
And yes, lots of people would like to see T2 versions of tier 3 battleships. But most of them at least come to the table with a proposal, no matter how bad. You've come with... nothing?
And please do punctuate. It's much easier to respond to a properly formed post.

Yes, let's crush an enthusiastic noob for being enthusiastic and a noob.
Yes, let's tell him that he needs to learn to play before he actually starts playing.
Yes, let's tell the noob not to post until he becomes a self-taught, one man expert on everything Eve related.
Hopefully, when you all finally become adults, you'll have a bit more wisdom. Otherwise you're going to wind up raising some really screwed up kids that my tax money will wind up paying for either via social services or prisons.
T2 weapons can fire special T2 ammo. T2 ammo can have increased range, damage, etc., but can also have some serious drawbacks. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Item_Database:Ammunition_&_Charges:Hybrid_Charges:Advanced_Blaster_Charges:Medium

Okay. Just a suggestion. Read stuff and find information about the capabilities of the Rokh itself and familiarize yourself with different fits for the ship. Then try it out a couple of times and then you can return here with a suggestion for a Tech 2 Rokh.
Should actually be in Features and Ideas section of the forum.
Have a good day.

Nah, not the point.
I've tossed this out before, but S&M has a culture of being harsh. If this were in features and ideas, a) no one would have responded and b) there would be even less use to the thread in the first place.
I was solidly crushed several times when I first posted; it just happens. Hopefully, the posts that do crush the noob point him to find new information and/or provide it. That's not always the case, but even a "UR Doing It Rong" can at least provide the impetus to look for new ways to do things, take it or leave it.
But in the spirit of the comment, I'll toss this out: a T2/faction Rokh would probably be awesome -- if it had a role to play above and beyond being the best damage short-range ammo ship in the game. On the other hand, a T2/faction Abaddon could fill the missing Khanid role and a T2/faction Hyperion could finally make a drone boat better than a Dominix. No idea what to do with the Maelstrom.
But just having another Rokh hull in the game doesn't seem useful.
Aside: for the love of god, new person, please punctuate. It doesn't have to exactly match AP or Chicago or whatever; mine doesn't. I won't even come close to retracting that.

The range of a Rokh with Neutron blasters and null ammo is 17km optimal, 13km falloff. Add a couple of tracking enhancers, and that's a rather handy 22+26km. Really not bad for an 800dps ship. (OK, some of that DPS is from the drones).
Sure, it's a short-ish range weapon, and it's slow, but still - being able to hit things for noticeable amounts at that kind of range is really quite impressive. (I'm sure it goes without saying that that optimal bonus also applies to higher damage ammos, which is kind of useful too)
Not sure it really needs a T2 version. I mean, it'd be kind of nice I think, but ... I can't for the life of me thing what you'd do with it - the Caldari already have a very impressive selection of battleships

well we already have tier 1 tech 2 black ops. great ship for a specific role. ( well I know a little about the widow) tier 2 tech 2 marauders tier 3 tech 2 should follow the natural progression of air force planes and be ... Liberators! got this from driving by a air force base and the names of the gates. abbadon, hyperion, rokh & maelstrom are all different ships with different bonuses, the trick is to not make them overpowered but have some role bonus. maybe warfare links or something. not a marauder clone but a fleet boss ship.
