In the end of 2009 I joined Corpse Collection Point. I spent my best EVE time in this corp so far. Corpse Collection Point is a pirate corp but I developed a passion to do anti-pirate stuff like killing pirate gate camps. This video contains a footage of my best fights during the first five months as a member of Corpse Collection Point. It shows mostly solo pvp in lowsec but also a few small scale scenes. In most of the scenes, I used my alt as scout or for gang bonuses. Please check out the trailer, if you aren't sure, whether it is worth to download a 800 MB file.

Considering you had Tengu links (and judging by how frantically you spam warp out, likely Crystals as well) for the majority of the movie the fights were really not that amazing.
The part where you killed the 'Cane, Vaga and SFI before going down was pretty awesome though.
Oh and the Ferox gang slaughter was pretty funny too. Not to mention the Sac dying, what a numpty. 
Still, good movie.

Hey! I take that personally!
Even the Mael suffers from many of the weaknesses of active tanks. To a lesser extent than Gallente ships thanks to cap-free high-damage guns and the intrinsic time advantage of shield tanks, but 2 heavy neuts can ruin your day quite effectively. Also, the lack of propmod and, usually, web makes you extremely vulnerable to bumping/ewar/small ship swarm. So, as with many ships, you trade advantage in-fight for the ability to set up the fight to your liking. This - setting up the fight - is the real art.

Brilliant, I've just finished watching the Black Ops part, and it was great to see, but so painful to see the Sin get away and the wreck popped.

Well made and really pushed me towards actually being interested in battleships. 45m are kind of stretching it but I did view it right in the morning with some coffee so you won't find me complaining there. Thanks for the effort.

Now while this is all correct, it is not at all relevant to the point I am making. The point I was making is that since a lot of vid makers including yourself, Garmon, Bulldog, Balion Rus and of course Violatohr have all released videos showing exactly what the ship is capable of my expectations for the ships performance rises. The first time I saw a mael take on a pack of BCs, I was impressed, but now it just seem like the Mael should win. Granted there may be a lot of work getting the fight to happen the way you want it to, but it is not showcased here - I would love to see it though.

Loved this movie ! Some really good cyclone / maelstrom action
One little thing that bugged me was the little status updates were over the top of the chat channels, could be a little clearer 
9/10 loved it.

That maelstrom was ******edly good. It does go to show how good a booster buddy and implants can be given that the maelstrom was t2 fit. Even so, it was amazing to watch what it could stand up to  , and for that it provided incredible entertainment value!

what codec I need for this, not working like every other mkv i've used vlc media player for... just shows a grey scene with music playing and then error message and close. downloaded and erased 2x and neither worked.

VLC is usually pretty bad for matroskas. I always keep the k-lite codec pack up to date and use Media Player Classic (included in K-Lite) and very rarely have problems with any film regardless of format.

Well done. Not the best of the year by it is up there. A definite keeper wish there was more ship variety but nonetheless 2 great ships to watch. Only negative is when u post its 1 shop vs 4 and the although you mentioned your alt booster u other times have couple other gang members falcons logistics...backup BS. They provide an even extra cushion on your pvp ability and confidence in addition to ur alt.
Again great movie I look forward to more of them hppeully equally entertaining |

Im not going to speak about the "pvp" or lack their of it. Active tanking, is kinda played out. The "Leet" talk, about "positioning" is hilarious. You tried and failed to split up their dps, then ended up tanking them? Active tanking stuff doesnt take much "skill", but is a viable part of the bla bla bla!
Now, just looking at this from a entertainment point of view. That **** was sick! It always amazes me, how much, the freaking maelstrom can tank. Must be nice to just sit back and soak up all that damage.
Dude, i laughed at that astarte; must suck to be schooled by a t1 battlecruiser. Almost felt bad for it (the astarte is such a awesome looking ship).
I enjoyed it, make moarrr!

http://www.cccp-project.net/ best codec pack i found on the net :) never, and i mean never, had problems with running any kind of video :) and pack that up along with zoom player , works lovely :)

Target prioritization in some fights seriously made me go wtf - notable mentions would be huginn, tengu, some others(oh yeah, that one where you had fusion loaded, then switch ammo to pop caracal, while having thorax on you ).
Some fights were really nice though, the aforementioned SFI/Vaga/Hurri @ station, Blackops one was just hilarious and the last 2 were fun.

Also, The types of fights reminded me of watching a kil2 vid. Outnumbered and in battleships or BC's ^^
Great Video I genuinely enjoyed it. Some of the fights are just insane. It's the small things like when you got Black Ops dropped and you literally sat there and waited for the sac to move off before engaging shows the great pvp quality in this vid.
The other fight I loved was the drunk jump into a gang where your primary was the only one not to engage. So you ****d their gang with GCC. Good job man

I got an interesting problem. I cant play the video.
Media player, classic media player, VLC etc. They all show a grey screen for 5 seconds then crash (and I mean crash!).
This has never happened before on any other video (and I've only seen a couple of 1000 by now ;) ) so I'm a bit confused.
And sad panda as this video sounds really good.
Anyone got an idea?

Do you always change ammo type in combat?
In some fights it seemed to me staying with the same ammo could have done more e.g. fusion for thorax and then changing back to emp.

Finally got my codecs sorted and watched it.
Verdict: Impressive. Really good stuff in here and a couple of exceptional fights!
The last fight could have been one for the legends but because of Falcon... Still a good fight!

awesome vid, really liked it. i did wonder about your primary choices thou a couple times - frinstance, you seemed to not pick the thorax as primary a couple times when thats what i would have done against probably any other cruiser. also, in the second fight, why did you primary the tengu instead of the mega?
not putdowns here, i have no doubt youre a better pvper than i, just wondering.

Very nice movie. One of the best EVE movies i have seen in a long time.
And because i started to love the Maelstrom after your movie, then i bought one with almost the indentical setup on it as you have.
The only thing that is different on my Maelstrom is that i'm using a Dread Guristas X-Large Shield Booster instead of a T2 one. Because of the DG Shield Booster, i don't need to use a Co-Processor in low slot.
And since i have my last low slot free, then i decided to fit an Expanded Cargohold II there so i can hold alot more Navy Cap Booster 800's .
Atm my Maelstrom does 1150 DPS with the damage implants i have and tanks around 1.5k DPS before overload. And this is with a full Low-grade Crystal set.
You should really consider the Dread Guristas X-Large Shield Booster, since it gives you more tank and it gives you more room for Navy Cap Boosters so you can tank for longer time.
I have 32 Navy Cap Booster 800's in total in my Maelstrom now. And with that, you can tank for a very long time.

But he will tank more than 2.8k DPS with a DG X-L Shield Booster anyways . And he can also just remove the Co-Processor and change it out to an Expanded Cargohold II instead then if he gets a DG X-L Shield Booster so he can tank much longer to.

His maelstrom tanks 2.8k before overheat
Hmmm, please tell me how he can tank that much with just t2 stuffs lol?

Very nice movie. One of the best EVE movies i have seen in a long time.
And because i started to love the Maelstrom after your movie, then i bought one with almost the indentical setup on it as you have.
The only thing that is different on my Maelstrom is that i'm using a Dread Guristas X-Large Shield Booster instead of a T2 one. Because of the DG Shield Booster, i don't need to use a Co-Processor in low slot.
And since i have my last low slot free, then i decided to fit an Expanded Cargohold II there so i can hold alot more Navy Cap Booster 800's .
Atm my Maelstrom does 1150 DPS with the damage implants i have and tanks around 1.5k DPS before overload. And this is with a full Low-grade Crystal set.
You should really consider the Dread Guristas X-Large Shield Booster, since it gives you more tank and it gives you more room for Navy Cap Boosters so you can tank for longer time.
I have 32 Navy Cap Booster 800's in total in my Maelstrom now. And with that, you can tank for a very long time.
A T2 fitted Maelstrom is easy to afford, because shield rigs are very cheap compared to armor rigs. Fitting a DG X-Large Shield Booster would triple the price of the Maelstrom and it would be much harder to afford such kind of low sec pvp for me.
