Is dying because there are no big wars. I dont think i have to mention why there are no wars(begins with L and ends with agggmonster). What does the quen guys say about that? Less mods being blown up, lesser mods taken out roulation. The dropping mineral prices is the sign that the economy isnt healthy anymore.

If by dying you mean thriving then yes. This is clearly a signature. |

I'm glad this was moved to MD. It's always nice to read an in-depth analysis of such a complex system.

Eve ticks along. There's a lot of stuff that happens even at quiet times. Ammo gets used, people get ganked, stuff gets blown up.
There's been some violence in nullsec with the eternal drama in Provi and fighting at Insmother. Nothing huge but again, it ticks along.
It is August. And the NC v SC conflict in May/June probably exhausted a number of people.
Expect a higher rate of destruction in September/October.

TY, that was a fun watch. Patronizing narrator ftw.
This might be my ignorance speaking, so please enlighten me, but does this apply to eve, where if you don't buy ships and mods, you don't really buy anything else?

You will buy something. More expensive stuff. Venture other things, like pos investments. Part may be saved, but it will be spend someday.

This
... as long there's scarcity there's selling and buying to be done.
On a more general note. Economy is always as healthy as possible when people are left free to engage in any exchange they desire. Drop in the demand for cheap short-term goods can simply be the result of people switching to more expensive and long-term goods. And which is more healthier is purely subjective.
Moving to higher levels of capital actually is all about saving and not spending on short-run needs. As already noted, the drop in ammo and cheap modules might result in people demanding more high-end modules.

Dude...people are enjoying their vacations/holidays during the Northern Hemisphere Summertime! Soon enough people will be going back to the grind of work or school and blowing crap up more frequently.
Do yourself a favor and get outside and enjoy the summer...

erm *cough* certain mineral prices have fallen others are doing strong. I make millions on the market daily and I've not been trading for all that long. If the market was dying why is there still steady movement of the minerals and items? Whatever your crazy beliefs are that the market is dying they are wrong because markets fluctuate they go up and down. Its lasted for years so I doubt it would simply die without much happening. ------------------------------

Don't forget the monster war in Stain/PB between Romanian Legion + friends and Legiunea Romana + SysK + friends. That is daily conflict and hundreds if not 1000+ ships are lost per week if you total both sides.

As Halborn said, money is being made everyday on the market by alot of people. I don't think there is this giant dive in the market as you claim.
There are plenty of 'wars' going on right now. They may not be to this big mass in which you are thinking. They are there though. Everyday people lose ships in everything from 0.0 to 1.0. Biomass is free (of) Eve4life! |
