Brilliant: Cluster-wide sleeper tech contamination, recognition of capsuleer-led genocide and a mysterious force powerful enough to force the four Faction leaders to turn tail. And 514 is New Eden's number of the beast for that psychological horror angle.
Also, I really enjoyed the dialogue. Maleatu Shakor has some superb sniping lines and the interplay between the four leaders is something I would love to see acted out on screen. So how's the screenplay coming along for the movie/TV show/animated web series?
In any case, thank you Gnauton. A great read.

Excellent read that answers a few questions I had, in particular concerning the implications of farming implants from Sleepers in the long-term, and the psychological effects on those being "possessed" by a number of consciousness who would no doubt grow to dislike being ripped from heaven in greater numbers. Good to know something "clean' has been developed before the release of the technology en masse.

But Anytime it's been Mentioned with talking they have always made the Point of saying Five One Four, not five fourteen or five hundred and fourteen, always five one four.
This leads me to beleive that each number means something on it's own.

Why do people guarding the leaders of the four empires have weapons that are susceptible to EMP if it's such a common tactic. We saw the same tactic in Empyrean Age and Templar One: EMP burst, then engage with ground forces.
Nobody expected this?
Are we going to be able to EMP burst a battlefield in DUST 514? |

I might actually get around to reading templar one finally. I wanted to wait in case it was left with some cliff hanger that required more story from the devs. +1 for a good story. |

lol, whether true or not, I love the idea. As CONCORD is considered the "king" amongst the four "princes", your interpretation would mean the end of high-sec as we know it.
That would be an apocalyptic event and immensely entertaining. I'd love to see CONCORD take the week off, but then come back and start running "incursions" into low-sec in reprisal for the inevitable tide of criminal griefing that they return to find.
