Hi all,
I was wondering if there was a way to increase the capacitor on your ship or if any skills could be trained that would improve this?
Thanks in advance :)

Two skills can be trained to directly buff your capacitor. They are:
Energy Management: +5% capacitor per level. Energy Systems Operation: +5% capacitor recharge rate per level.
Modules that can increase your cap or increase your cap recharge are numerous, but here are the top used ones:
Capacitor Batteries (mid slot): Increase overall cap Capacitor Rechargers (mid slot): Increase cap recharge rate Capacitor Power Relays (low slot): Increase cap recharge rate
There is also a MULTITUDE of other skills that decrease cap consumption of specific modules. The skill "Controlled Bursts" for example cuts the cap consumption of cap consuming turrets by 5% per level. The skill "Propulsion Jamming" also reduces the amount of cap (5% per level) that warp disruptors and stasis webs use. _______________________

The Energy Management Skill, Capacitor Batteries in their various sizes and then Small/Medium/Large Semiconductor Memory Cells are the first that come to mind. There's also implants and Power Diagnostic Systems.

Missed Flux coils and Capacitor Control Circuit rigs.
Also, completely missed Capacitor Boosters, which use Cap Charges to recharge your capacitor.
Often a cap booster can replace several cap modules and rigs, making room for more useful modules to increase gank and/or tank. Cap charges are large and can be annoying to haul, so buy the blueprint and make them yourself wherever you need them; the blueprints and minerals are very small, and you only need Industry 1 to build them.
Note that increasing capacitor size ALSO increases the recharge rate, as the recharge time remains constant. This is probably why Energy Management is a higher rank skill than Energy Systems Operation.

Win.
+cap, +cap recharge, +shield, +shield recharge, +power grid.

Edited by: Taedrin on 07/08/2010 02:26:15 EDIT: When I say "fitting requirements", I am referring to CPU and powergrid, not to skill requirements.
Cap Rechargers (mid slot): Decrease cap recharge time at no penalty. Low fitting requirements
Capacitor batteries (mid slot): Increase capacitor capacity at no penalty. High powergrid requirement, scales with size of module
Capacitor booster (mid slot): Gives you an instant injection of capacitor at no penalty. Consumes cap booster charges. The bigger the charge, the more capacitor that gets injected. Likewise, the bigger the charge, the more cargo space it uses up. High powergrid requirement, scales with size of module.
Cap Flux Coil (low slot): greatly decreases cap recharge time, but also decreases capacitor capacity. Low fitting requirements. Useful for mission running ships that are trying to become "cap stable", and thus only really care about their "peak recharge", and not about the size of their capacitor.
Cap Power Relay (low slot): greatly decreases cap recharge time, but also greatly decreases the effectiveness of shield boosters. Low fitting requirements. Incredibly useful for armor tanking ships which do not need extra of tanking modules are DPS modules (such as gyrostabs).
Power Diagnostic Systems (low slot): gives a modest decrease in cap recharge time, modest increase in capacitor capacity, a modest decreases in shield recharge time, a modest increase in max shield HP and a modest bonus to powergrid. Costs CPU to fit. This all-in-one module is a favorite pick for shield tankers looking to get a bit more tank out of their ship. The disadvantage is that most shield tanking ships don't have very many low slots and will have to give up a DPS module in order to fit one of these.
Capacitor Control Unit (rig): Decreases capacitor recharge time. Rigs are semi-permanent. After you fit it on your ship, it can not be removed unless you destroy the rig. ----------

Also note that most of your Navigation skills either directly cause you to use less cap to move your ship about - or - move your ship about faster - thus causing you to use less cap to get where you're going.

This, my god I hated stopping like 3 times with my freshly made alt when I had to make 120AU warp in a shuttle ...
