Been playing for two months, last of which I have been flying a Ferox. Love the ship, but everyone is so high on the Drake. Is that Drake a substantial upgrade to the Ferox? I have enough ISK to purchase and outfit a Drake the way I want, but should I just save a bit more upgrade to a battleship?
Any input would be nice. I am at high ebd LVL 3 missions and LVL 4 have just opened up, so looking for the right ship to go to the next lelvel.

The Raven is what I have my eye on. Just didn't if I need to go drake as a stop gap. I do really love my Ferox and have got the Tank (active and passive) to the point I can take on two battleships at once and walk away), just don't know if It will have the firepower to take on LVL 4 missions. From what I am reading, the Drake doesn't pack much more of a punch.

Thanks for everyone's input, even the tech on all the LVL II stuff. While I cannot do all of it yet, it gives me a path to aspire to, right?
Still not sure which direction to go in. I spent a lot of time/effort in training shields and have a good month to get to LVL 2 Heavy Launchers, but even with the ferox I am taking or 3 and 4 battleships at a time, it just takes me 5 minutes to kill one. Not Sure I will ever finsih Angel Extravaganza at this rate, but the bounty, loot and salvage makes a very profitable missions.

Yep. I am sold on the Drake. Went ahead and bought it and a Scorpion (just to see how a battleship handles) and after a few days, sold the Scorpion back. The drake is a lot more fun to fly and really took out enemy battleships with it's 7 Heavy missile bays easier than the 4 torpedo bays on the Scorpion.
I'll probably try the raven in a few weeks when I get around to training cruise missiles, but until then. Me likie the Drake!

I always what happened to the rest of the ship too. Maybe it's built that for areodynamics ... in space...
Still the ugliest ship has to me a Moa. I use one for salvage and shudder everythine I get in it. My 5 year old thinks it looks like a man.
